Objective To describe the distribution of systolic blood pressure and diastolic bloodpressure in normal neonate, establish the normal range of systolic blood pressure anddiastolic blood pressure in neonate, analyse the possible influences of neonatal bloodpressure and low birth weight., and provide a reference for early prevention and control ofessential hypertension. Methods First, collecting information by self-designed questionnaire. They are asfollows: age, nationality, education level, occupation, history of smoking and drinking, past medical history, family history of hypertension and physical examination ofneonate parents; pregnancy history of pregnant, pregnancy complications and deliverysituation of the puerperae; physical examination of neonate such as birth weight, headcircumference, height, weather the babies with deformity or congenital disease andAPGAR score. Second, measuring the blood pressure of newborn using MairuiVS-800vital signs monitor. The respondents are the694babies which were live bornin Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital of Hefei City(262babies), Anqing CityHospital(212babies), Affiliated Hospital of Guiling Medical College(105babies),Maternity and Children’s Health Care Hospital of Xuancheng City(58babies) and FirstPeople’s Hospital in Chaohu City(57babies) from April2011to June2011. Theninvestigate the parents using questionnaire after getting consent from babies’ parents. Results There is no significant difference between male group and female group. Inmale, normal diastolic blood pressure range is56.55mmHg~93.29mmHg, and normalsystolic blood pressure range is25.16mmHg~54.92mmHg. In female, normal diastolicblood pressure range is57.20mmHg~94.08mmHg, and normal systolic blood pressurerange is26.19mmHg~55.47mmHgmmHg; The blood pressure of24hours and48hours: There is notable difference between24hours group and24to48hours group.For24h group, the normal diastolic blood pressure range is24.75mmHg~54.29mmHgwhereas the systolic one is53.87mmHg~93.23mmHg, For48h group, the normaldiastolic blood pressure range is26.60mmHg~55.96mmHg whereas the systolic one is59.90mmHg~93.46mmHg.Single factor analysis of24h normal systolic blood pressure shows: nationalminority of mother, living in remote area, pregnant having eat animal oil and cure foodin pregnancy, premature, few prenatal care times, have pregnancy complication andlow birth weight are the factors which probably made the neonatal blood pressurelower, Yet, the multivariate analysis shows that national minority of mother, fewprenatal care times and low birth weight are the risk factors of low blood pressure.Single factor analysis of48h normal systolic blood pressure shows: low educationallevel of parents, pregnant having work on physical labour, pregnant having eat animaloil and cure food, premature, have pregnancy complication and low birth weight arethe risk factors of low blood pressure. Yet, the multivariate analysis shows thatpregnant having work on physical labour, pregnant having eat vetetables more or lessin pregnancy are the risk factors of low blood pressure.Single factor analysis of24h normal diastolic blood pressure shows: pregnanthaving eat more animal oil, few prenatal care times and low birth weight are the riskfactors of low blood pressure. Yet, the multivariate analysis shows that pregnant havingeat more animal oil are the risk factors of low blood pressure. Single factor analysis of having work on physical labour, pregnant having eat animal oil and cure food, premature, have pregnancy complication and low birth weight are the risk factors oflow blood pressure. Yet, the multivariate analysis shows that low educational level ofpregnant, pregnant having work on physical labour, pregnant having eat vetetablesmore or less in pregnancy are the risk factors of low blood pressure. The factors analysis of low birth weight shows: living in remote area, nationalminority of mother, early termination pregnancy, parents working on heavy physicallabour, low BMI of parents, improper proportion of cooking oil type and meat type inpregnancy, less intake of egg, fish, meat, and milk in pregnancy, more intake of salt inpregnancy,, other family members smoking, bad relationship between mother and otherfamily members, pregnant having pregnancy complications and intrapartumcomplications, few prenatal examination times, low weight gain during pregnancy, twins are the risk factors of low birth weight. In the multivariate analysis, twin, preterm, few prenatal examination times, infection during pregnancy and low BMIscore are the risk factors of low birth weight. Conclusion Relevant factor of mother in pregnancy and non-pregnancy can affectblood pressure and birth weight of neonate, and the neonatal blood pressure will beimproved as well as the incidence of low birth weight will be reduced by enhancingmedical examination during pregnancy and medical propaganda education.
