Background:There are many investigations of great samples showed that there exists high prevalence of anxiety or depression in the patients of chronic obstrucctive pulmonary disease(COPD) from many countries. But it’s lack of data about the incidence rate of psychologic obstacle and related factors in patients in this field. We aimed to know how was the situation of anxiety and depression in the COPD at stable stage Patients in our investigations in BaoTou, and we investigated the related factors can influence the COPD patients with anxiety and depression. Objective To investigate the incidence rate of psychologic obstacle and related factors in patients with chronic obstruetive pulmonary disease(COPD)at stable stage. To explore a comprehensive treatment for COPD patients, and to find a new direction for the treatment of COPD patients with mood disorders.Method1.The method of Patients seleeted was used by Cluster sampling. hospitalized patient with stable chronic obstructive Pulmonary disease(COPD) were seleeted from the Department of Respiratory Medicine. the second affliated hospital of Baotou medical college hospital between September2009and December2010.Acute Patients seleeted to be in stable condition after one month.186cases effective sample date were collected as experimental group.182cases healthy outpatient were collected as control group.2、The survey used five questionnaires and lung function. The first Part of questionnaires is a general survey of Patients. SAS is the second Part.; SDS is the third Part. Social support rating scale is the fourth lung function and other indicators is the fifth.3SPSS 16.0software was used for statistie analysis.Main Results (1)1There were no statistically significant difference between COPD group and healthy control group in general information, the two groups were comparable.(2) The incidence rate of anxiety depression in the patients of COPD at Stable stage was40.9%, The incidence rate of depression was48.9%,22.0%have anxiety and depression simultaneous.(3). T-test show that there are significant difference gender、BMI、duration of disease、degree、source of medical coverage、Whether there had respiratory failure、the number of cigarettes smoked、years of smoking、COPD scale degree of social support、Classification of lung function among the anxiety group and depression group.(4). Multiple stepwise regression analysis reveal that the major factors related to the anxiety include gender、duration of disease、respiratory failure、years of smoking、 Classification of lung function Multiple stepwise regression analysis reveal that the major factors related to the depression include gender、duration of disease、 Whether there had respiratory failure、COPD scale years of smoking、 Classification of lung function. Score of the SAS, SDS show that there are significant difference between anxiety severity of anxiety and depression and gender、BMI、duration of disease、source of medical coverageCOPD scale、Classification of lung function but there are no significant difference between anxiety severity and age, educational level whether there had respiratory failure、the number of cigarettes smoked、years of smoking marital status. Conclusions (1)1Patients with stable COPD have had a higher prevalence of anxiety. and depression. Patients with stable COPD often occur anxiety and depression simultaneously;(2)Many factors can influence the COPD patients with anxiety. and depression, including demographic information and clinical disease information. But one of the main influential factors is duration of disease、COPD scale、Classification of lung function and social supports;(3)The medical staff must take some efficient measures to improve COPD patients according to the main influential factors of anxiety. and depression.
