| Depression is a serious disease with the fourth highest morbidity and would be thesecond one just less than coronary disease in2020. Drug therapy is the main way to relievedepression symptoms today, but this way costs too much and leads to side effects such as drugdependence. As an alternative solution, physical therapy is one of the hot points in the studyof curing depression, especially cranial micro-current therapy for depression which can beused in community and family.Cranial micro-current therapy introduces micro-current into brain directly to enhancealpha brain wave activity and increase the concentration of neurotransmitters, is widely usedto cure mental diseases such as depression, anxiety and insomnia. Based on the relationbetween depression and the regulation of neuron excitement in the cortex, according to thestrength-duration curve, a cranial micro-current therapy system for depression is designed inthis paper, which can induce the neuron excitement effectively and detect brain wave in realtime. Based on the controller C8051F020,the system concludes current regulating circuit,LCD module, amplifier and filter circuit for biological signal, button control, PC diagnosissystem. Aimed at the nerve electrophysiological characters of depression, according to thestrength-duration curve and different biological effect of different electronic stimuluswaveform, electronic stimulus waveforms which can induce the neuron excitement andbehave at corrosion and tissue damage are designed. Noninverting adder and constant-currentcircuit are designed to generate constant load current. Amplifier and filter circuit are designedto detect electroencephalogram (EEG) in real time.Based on biphasic square wave, adding delay and (or) spike, a variety of electronicstimulus model are designed to enhance the activity of neuron excitement in C8051F020using embedded C language. A database system is developed for the diagnosis,analysis ofdepression, the storage of information and detecting result, especially to meet the need inuniversity.Detecting EEG in single-channel and10/20system, both the observation of changes inbrain wave and analysis of EEG changes before and after cranial micro-current stimulationverify the beneficial effects in neuron excitement. Discovery were gained that alpha brain wave is obviously enhanced during stimulation, the trend from slow wave with highamplitude to fast wave with low amplitude is obvious, excitement area changes obviously. |
