status of depressive symptoms and knowledge, belief and practice of depression among undergraduates in a university in the form of a questionnaire, and analyzed the differences in cognition, attitude and behavior towards depression among undergraduates of different genders, majors, grades, friends, chronic diseases and depression(no depressive symptoms, possible depressive symptoms and depressive symptoms).Through statistical assignment, the scores of depression-related knowledge, attitudes and behaviors of undergraduates in different characteristic groups were obtained. In order to further understand the relationship between the knowledge, attitude and behavior related to depression and their different depressive symptoms,in order to explore the focus of depression prevention and control of undergraduates from different dimensions. And further provide effective ideas and clues for reducing the incidence of depression among undergraduates.MethodsFirst of all, this study uses a questionnaire to collect information, including basic information(name, gender, major, grade, etc.),knowledge, belief and practice of depression questionnaire and Catchment-area Epidemiology Survey-Depression(CES-D).This survey uses a simple random method to select freshmen, sophomores and seniors from four departments of the surveyed university, and then uses the method of stratified random cluster sampling, and integrates them on a grade-by-grade basis. The results of the questionnaire were inputted by Epidata database software, and the inputted data were analyzed by statistical software SPSS 21.0.The counting data were statistically analyzed by letter-to-letter test, the independent sample t-test was more practical between the two groups, the differences between other groups with different characteristics were analyzed by single factor analysis of variance, and multiple comparisons between treatments were made. The multiple linear regression model was established by taking the total score of KAP as dependent variables, gender, grade, major, making friends, chronic disease and depression as independent variables, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Results1.A total of 3,620 questionnaires were issued in this survey, and 3,609 effective questionnaires were finally collected, with an effective rate of 99.67%.,men have the proportion of depressive symptoms(28.4%)than women(25.8%),engineering(32.1%)and science class proportion(26.8%)was higher than liberal arts class(25.8%)and medical class(23.1%),three grade proportion(30.6%)higher than that of a grade(25.9%)and second grade(25.3%),no friends to support and help people higher rate(62.5%)than with friends support and help people(26.1%),patients with slow group proportion(58.4%)was higher than no slow patients group(25.7%).2.In the analysis of cognition-related issues of depression in this study, the statistical results showed that college students with different genders, majors, grades, friends, chronic diseases and depression had statistically significant differences in mental health day,self-regulated cognition, symptom understanding and treatment options(P<0.05).In the analysis of the problems related to the attitude towards depression, the statistical results showed that there was a statistical difference between the attitudes of college students with different characteristics in popularizing depression and the attitudes of their family members or friends in caring for depression(P<0.05).In the analysis of behavioral problems related to the prevention of depression, the results showed that college students with different characteristics had statistical significance in the selection of depression treatment and treatment compliance(P<0.05).3.After the statistical evaluation,in the comparison of the knowledge, attitude and overall scores of depression among the investigated college students, the scores of women in knowledge, attitude and overall scores were higher than those of men(P<0.05).The attitude and overall scores of liberal arts were higher than those of medical science and engineering(P<0.05).The scores of knowledge, attitude, behavior and overall score of the group with friend support and help and the group without friend support and help were higher than that of the group without friend support and help and the group with slow patient(P<0.05).The scores of attitude, behavior and overall score without depressive symptoms were higher than those of undergraduates with depressive symptoms(P<0.05).4.In the multiple linear regression analysis on the cognition, attitude and behavior of depression among the investigated college students, the statistical results indicated that women scores of depression cognition, attitude and behavior were higher than men(P<0.05).The scores of science, engineering and medical were lower than those of arts(P<0.05).The support of friends is higher than that of no friends(P<0.05).No chronic disease was higher than chronic disease(P<0.05).Depressive symptoms and possible depressive symptoms were lower than those without depression(P<0.05).Conclusions1.A university undergraduate students depressive symptoms detection rate cases, depressive symptoms detection rate than women, men science and engineering undergraduate students depressive symptoms detection rate is higher than liberal arts classes with medical class, senior undergraduate depression detection rate is higher than other grades, have friends to support and help of the undergraduates below have no friends to support and help, have a slow disease undergraduate course room is higher than the disease.2.The higher the knowledge of depression cognition, attitude and behavior of undergraduates with different characteristics, the smaller the proportion of the population with depressive symptoms.3.The popularization of knowledge of cognition, attitude and behavior related to depression among senior male and science and engineering students is likely to further reduce the incidence of depressive symptoms among college students. |
