Objective:To observe the clinical effects of nourishing Yin and falling fire,relieving a cough in treating laryngeal cough which pattern is Fire excess from Yin deficiency.Methods:We collect59patients with laryngeal cough in Fire excess from Yin deficiency pattern. The patients were randomly divided into the test group and the control group.30cases in test group and the other59cases in control group. The test group was given decoction of nourishing Yin and falling fire, relieving a cough, one dose three times a day and the control group was given Compound Pseudo ephedrine Hydrochloride Oral Solution,10ml three or four times a day.7days as one course of treatment, observing4course of during the therapeutic period。we observed the changes of the Patients’symptoms, signs and adverse reactions.Result:(1)Evaluation of clinical efficacy:In the treatment group,5cases recovery,14cases markedly effective,9cases effective,2cases of invalid. The total effective rate is93.33%:In the control group.1case recovery,5cases markedly effective,15cases effective,8cases of invalid. The total efficiency rate is72.41%.Through tested the clinical efficacy of the treatment group was significantly higher than that.(2)Clinical symptoms assess:The efficacy of the treatment group was superior to the control group in the main symptoms such as cough, dry throat, pharyngeal itching, thick phlegm, difficult to expel, pharynx foreign body sensation。(3) The decoction was safe, all Patients with no adverse reactions.Conclusion:The study tells that the nourishing Yin and falling fire, relieving a cough is definitely effective to treat the laryngeal cough in Fire excess from Yin deficiency pattern。It is without adverse effects, and is provided with vast potential for future development.
