Objective In order to understand the level of iPTH and the removal ofdialysis treatment in Guangxi,and to identify the factor affecting the level ofiPTH in CAPD patients. The affection of iPTH to the survival and the quality oflife in the CAPD patients were investigated.Methods From February2006to December2011,174ESRD patientswho received CAPD were recruited from First Affiliated Hospital of GuangxiMedical University.The dialysis period of all patients were longer than3months. Diagnosis,sex,age,dialysis vintage,data before and after CAPDincluding Hb, SCr, BUN,Alb,PA, ALP, Ca, P,iPTH of all patients werecollected.The fasting serum iPTH levels of all patients were measured byimmunochemiluminometric. The level of iPTH was analysised in different sex,age, residual urine volume, peritoneal transport, dialysis adequacy and beforeand after CAPD. All biochemical indicators were compared betweenthe high iPTH group and the low iPTH group. Simple correlation analysis and stepwise regression analysis were used to explore thefactor affecting the levels of iPTH.Result In the174CAPD patients,the levels of Ca、P、iPTH fell withinthe range recommended37.4%、44.8%and35.6%respectively. The levels ofiPTH in before and after CAPD, different gender,different age,differentresidual urine volume groups, different peritoneal transport groups, differentdialysis adequacy groups has no significant differences(P>0.05).The levels ofCa in the high iPTH group was obviously higher than that in the low iPTHgroup. But the levels of Alb in the high iPTH group was obviously lower thanthat in the low iPTH group. There was no significant differences in age, Hb, P,BUN, SCr,TC,TG,PA、ALP.Correlation analysis suggested that iPTH wasnegatively correlated with C(ar=-0.671,P<0.05),but positively correlated withAlb, BUN, SCr(r=0.196,0.256,0.155,P<0.05).Multiple regressionanalyses indicated the levels of serum calcium and blood ureanitrogen can independently affect the levels of iPTH.Conclusions Calcium-phosphorus metabolism and secondaryhyperparathyroidism in CAPD patients didn’t be controlled well in the study.Our study suggested that iPTH was correlated with the levels of Ca, Alb, BUN,SCr and the levels of serum calcium and blood urea nitrogen canindependently affect the levels of iPTH.
