ObjectiveTo evaluate the effects of Solifenacin Succinate in treating the lower urinary tract symptoms of patients with indwelling double-J ureteral stents after ureteroscopic lithotripsyMethodsA total of42patients with unilateral ureteral obstruction due to urinary stone underwent to the same unilatera ureteral stenting after treatment of stone disease were prospectively randomized into two groups. No patient had a remnant urinary tract stone.experimental group included21patients who received5mg of Solifenacin Succinate, once daily for4weeks, and control group consisted of21patients who did not give intervention for the same period. All subjects recorded three days voiding diary after urethral catheter withdraw and completed the International Prostate Symptom Scor/Quality Of Life (IPSS/QoL) four weeks later, All patients completed IPSS/Qol before the withdraw of double-J stent.Results(1)There was a significant difference in the IPSS total score and IPSS storage symptoms score between experimental group and control group;(2) There was no significant difference in the IPSS voiding symptoms score between experimental group and control group;(3) There was a significant difference in the QoL between experimental group and control group (4)There was only one patients showing up dry mouth and two patients showing up constipationConclusion1. The Double-J stent-related storage symptoms were improved by Solifenacin Succinate.2. The Double-J stent-related voiding symptoms were not improved by Solifenacin Succinate.3. The quality of life of patients.were improved by Solifenacin Succinate.4. The side effects of Solifenacin Succinate were mild.
