Objective The paper is to discuss the mechanism of the lights burning therapy for sciatica inTu-jia medicine, and objectively evaluate the efficacy and safety of such treatment.Methods60patients who meet the inclusion criteria will be randomly divided into the treatmentgroup and the control group. The treatment group is treated with the lights burning therapy inTu-jia medicine combined with the Cupping treatment of traditional Chinese medicineThecontrol group is treated with the Cupping treatment of traditional Chinese medicineh, while thetwo.groups are once a day and five days for a period of treatment, and there are three periods oftreatment in all. In curative effectiveness, the principal assessment is primarily determined by thefollowing three evaluation scales: the VRS pain scale, the state administration of traditionalChinese medicine in Criteria of Diagnosis and Therapeutic Effect of TCM Diseases, themeasurable table for act pain (BRS-6).Results There are30cases in the treatment group and the control group, respectively. Thetreatment group (the lights burning therapy in Tu-jia medicine combined with theelectro-acupuncture therapy of Chinese medicine) and the control group (Chinese medicineelectro-acupuncture therapy) both are obvious effective in the treatment for sciatica. Where, theefficiency of the treatment group and the controlled group always is percent96.6.and percent93.3, respectively. Through the statistical comparison, there are the significantly differencescompared the rate of completely cured of the treatment group (percent76.6) with that of thecontrolled group (percent43.3)(p<0.05), that is, the efficacy in the treatment group issignificantly superior to that in the control group. There are the obvious differences between VASpain measure scale and the measure scale of BRS-6act pain before and after treatment in thetreatment group (P<0.01), while the striking difference between VAS pain measure scale and themeasure scale of BRS-6act pain also exists before and after treatment in the treatment group(P<0.05). There are significant differences in VAS pain measure scale and the measure scale ofBRS-6act pain after treatment between two groups (P<0.01), and the efficacy in treatment ofsciatica for the cold dampness type and the qi-blood stagnation type have the obvious differencesbetween two groups. Conclusions The research shows that the rate of completely cured, which is cured by the lightsburning therapy in Tu-jia medicine combined with the electro-acupuncture therapy of Chinesemedicine, can be improved. Especially for sciatica of the cold dampness type and the qi-blood stagnation type, the curative effect is superior to the Chinese medicine electro-acupuncturetherapy. Therefore, socan be concluded that the clinical observation to the lights burning therapyin Tu-jia medicine implies that the efficacy is affirmed and safe.form a valuable and deservesfurther promotion and in clinical use.
