Background:Gynecological cancer has become a serious threat to women’s healthdiseases which including cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer,choriocarcinoma, etc. At present, the main treatment is combination of surgeryand chemotherapy, the side effects of chemotherapy drugs may give the patientthe appearance of changes, and surgery will need some or total removal ofreproductive organs of patients. This treatment is direct impact on women’sphysical and mental health, life quality and of female sexuality.“Tell or not tellthe true condition” and “how to tell the true condition” is also beencontroversial in clinical work. Affected by China’s traditional culture, medicalstaffs are generally given the decision-making power to the patient’s family. Butfamily members mostly to conceal the true condition because of they want toprotect the patient’s psychological. This approach not only ignored the patient’sright to know, and gave the doctor-patient relationship to bury hidden dangers.Objective:Investigate the gynecologic cancer patients, family members of patients,medical staff informed of the attitude of cancer, then to find the best and mostfeasible mode to inform; To understand the psychological experience ofgynecological cancer patients the true condition; In order to better carry out thehumane care nursing provided the theoretical basis, thereby improving thepatients quality of life.Methods:This study used quantitative and qualitative combination of methods.Quantitative research part of "different groups of people to inform attitudes andto inform the strategy questionnaire",62cases of gynecological cancer patients,62cases of gynecological cancer patient’s family members and61cases of gynecological health care workers (185cases) for the cancer to inform attitudesand inform the strategy investigation. All data were statistically analyzed usingSAS8.1, including a general description of analysis, χ2test; Qualitativeresearch part of the12cases of gynecological cancer patients willing tocooperate in research depth interviews informed of the true condition ofpsychological experience.Results:1. Patients with gynecological cancer and gynecological health careworkers on cancer inform positive attitude, and gynecological cancer patientsendorsed the true condition should tell patients shared equally up to4.15±1.32,gynecological medical staff of the select-sharing up to4.08±1.11;gynecological cancer families of this are divided into2.3±1.44, a negativeattitude to the cancer inform.2. The best informed choice:66.1%of gynecological cancer patientschoose gynecologist,61.3%of the families choose family members, relativesor friends, composed of72.1%of the medical staff to select the doctors andfamily members to inform the group; The best informed choice of time75.8%of patients and49.2%of the medical staff for the time of diagnosis,62.9%offamilies who opt to "not hide"; The best informed place of72.6%of patientsand59.7%of families who opt to "quiet private space ",75%of the medical staff to select the "Health Care Office";95.2%of patients choose the bestinformed mode "the truth fully informed",85.5%of families who opt to" hidemode ",65.6%of the medical staff selection" section tells"; The best to informthe content of37.1%of patients choose the prognosis and the impact on thefuture life and the treatment and time,25.8%of the patients choice of treatmentcosts,67.7%of families and60.6%of the medical staff to select "treatment andcourse of time."4. Qualitative study of three themes: Gynecological cancer patients thatwith a strong desire to known the diagnosis; Gynecological cancer patientswish to be humane truth telling; they need to know a large number ofdisease-related knowledge.Conclusion:1. Gynecological cancer patients want to know the real condition of cancer,they told hold a positive attitude, but the education level, with or withoutmedical insurance and accompanying staff categories affect the extent of thedisease known wishes;Inform the understanding and practice of gynecologicalcancer patients, families of cancer disease contradictions that should respect thepatient’s right to know, they conceal the real scene. Age, education level, gender,marital status, accompanying experience, religious beliefs influence inform theattitude of the main factors;Gynecological health care workers on cancerinform positive attitude that inform the condition that meets the patients’understanding of the disease can also be effective to avoid accusations ofmalpractice, in line with the needs of today’s medical environment;2. Formulated the personalized inform strategy for gynecological cancerpatients:try to choose gynecological experts as to inform staff which is themost be trusted by patients; to assess well the patient’s ability to accept, tosecure the family with the premise as soon as possible to inform their true condition; planned mode times inform of the steps more easily accept bypatients; need to provide a quiet private space for patients to inform location;should inform the process of a significant increase in informed content, and tomeet their information needs;3. Gynecological cancer patients informed of their true condition experien-ced a difficult psychological process; they need professional psycholo-gicalintervention and support.
