Background:Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) is a heterogeneous group of greatneurodevelopmental disorders. Most studies suggest that genetic factors are the maincauses. Among three core symptoms, the social disorder is considered to be thehighest degree of genetic effect. Environmental factors may account for a large factor;gender may differ. Objective:To study the characters of at least one child in the pair had diagnosed with autismspectrum disorders, and the social impaired relationship between genetic andenvironmental factors, which may differ by gender, eggs and severity; thereforeinferred the heritability of ASD. The autism-related risk factors will be discussed. Design setting: Twin studyParticipants:We were recalling the twins attending child development and behaviordepartment in our hospital between1999and2012, collecting34pairs of twins withat least one child meet the ASD diagnosis, who were born from1998to2008. We alsorecalled to complete the basic messages and social responsiveness scale (SRS).Results:The concordance rate for Monozygotic twins (MZ) was78.6%(95%CI:49.2%-95.3%, Dizygotic twins (DZ)15%(95%CI:0.032-37.9%),Thesocial disorder heritability for ASD was53.7%(95%CI:35.1%-72.3%), and there wasno non-shared environment Meanwhile; Specific environment factors was46.3%(95%CI:27.7%-64.9%). The SRS scale scores were statistically significant innormal children and children with ASD, besides gender and eggs. The children withASD have no found statistically significant in gender and eggs. Conclusion:ASD has a high degree of genetic effects, and environmental effects also playan important role; shared environmental effects are found. The Genetics effects maybe different from gender.
