The Analysis And Comparison Of Several Common Swine Production Systems In Sichuan Province

In this research the economic profit of three common production systems, including DLY(Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire three-way crossbreeding), PIC(five-way crossbreeding) and local hybrid (Landrace or Yorkshire sirex local dam two-way crossbreeding),inSichuan province were analyzed. The profit formulae were built according to real swine production situation, thus calculating and comparing the economic profit. Sensitivity analysis towards the influencing factors on each production system was done and importantfactors were picked out. The relative economic value of these factors was calculated. The economic profit changing curves of DLY and local hybrid production systems from June,2008to May,2012were drawn and fit and a primary periodicity of the swine production was obtained. The results showed that:In the expected marketing and producing conditions, the average economic profit of PIC commercial pig was375.72RMB, exceeded DLY’s336.81RMB and local hybrid’s273.31RMB.Important factors influencing three systems were:feed price and feed conversion ratio of commercial pig’s fattening period, finishing period and conservation period, survival percentage of commercial pig’s lactation period, feed price, annual reproduction times and live litter size in each pregnancy of sow’s pregnancy period in parental generation, price of commercial pig. Local hybrid had no data of feed price and feed conversion ratio in commercial pig’s finishing period. The relative economic value of these factors for DLY were-5.84,-3.02,-2.56,-1.53,-1.31,-1.46,1.57,-1.54,1.11,4.77,29.14RMB, for PIC were-5.65,-3.02,-2.46,-1.53,-1.28,-1.42,1.61,-1.48,1.13,4.80,30.23RMB and for local hybrid were-7.89,-4.37,-1.29,-1.21,1.31,-1.29,0.86,5.42,30.40RMB, separately.The economic profit of DLY system was almost exceeded the local hybrid system from June,2008to May,2012. The tendency of these two systems were similar and the circle was about thirty-seven months.In this research the real situation and the market price of swine production were combined. The influence of swine production system itself and market quotations towards economic profit were analyzed, thus offering reference to swine production of Sichuan province.
