Moving target detection and imaging, being an important research aspect of synthetic aperture radar (SAR), has been a hot topic for a long time and has especially important significance in military field and civil application field. Comparing to the space-borne SAR, the airborne SAR has many advantages, such as the few limited condition, the facility to implement and so on, so we choose the airborne SAR moving target detection and imaging as the research contents of the paper. In this paper, moving target detection and imaging based on multi-channel airborne SAR is studied. The main work of the paper is as follows.1. According to the position between the moving target and the airborne SAR platform, the paper studied the effect to the SAR image because of the radial and azimuth velocity of moving target.2. Based on the displaced phased center antenna (DPCA), the basic principle and implement method of detection, velocity measure, location and imaging using three antenna phase centers are firstly introduced. Then the method of airborne SAR moving target detection using two antenna phase centers is studied. Following, a method which makes use of∑-Δ beams to suppress the clutter is introduced. Simulation experiment shows that the effectiveness of three methods.3. Based on space-time adaptive processing(STAP), the principle of STAP is discussed and several implementation methods of ground moving target detection are researched, then a new method called FA-STAP is proposed. The result of simulation experiment shows that the new method has better performance even in the condition that the velocity of moving target is less than the velocity of clutter and the SCR is lower.4. Based on along-track interfermetry(ATI), the principle of ATI is discussed and two detection functions of amplitude and phase are researched respectively. The result of simulation experiment shows that the performance of moving target detection is limited by signal-noise-ratio and radial velocity.
