As the dominating artery of the GDP, the railway transportation is the leading way toachieve the rapid development of the national economy and the requirements of publictransportation. With the rapid development of domestic technology and application ofhigh-speed railway, the requirement of train speed measurement which belongs to the trainsecurity system is growing fast. Under the background, this thesis put forward a designplan which is different from the traditional contacted way of speed measurement. Basedon the principal of Doppler, through the way of transmit and receive the radar wave,achieve the speed measurement on the hardware platform which is mainly built up by theDSP.Start with the introduction of the domestic and abroad research background, thethesis demonstrate the importance and broad application prospects of radar speedmeasurement, and the technology problem of the design is preliminary discussed in thenext. In addition, in order to get a better result and lay the theoretical foundation forsystem design, the principal of radar speed measurement, the integrated design of systembased on the compensation structure with double microwave modules and the feasibilityof the power spectrum analysis of the radar signal by the use of the AR module and Burgalgorithm is exclusively studied in this section.The detailed design in the thesis is consist by three parts, which is the integrateddesign, the hardware design and the software design. In the part of integrated design, thestructure, the system operation mode signal processing status of the double microwavemodules operational way is put forward to solve the problem of angle compensation of thetrain speed measurement. In the part of hardware design, four modules are separatelydesigned based on the modularize concept to achieve the signal running from the radarwave module to the prepositive magnified module, and running to the signal processmodule to get processed after the filter and conversion by the filter circuit at last. In thesoftware part, the thesis achieve the software flow chart design based on the systemoperation mode and hardware circuit and achieve the programming of AR module and Burg algorithm in DSP by C language. Eventually, the thesis carried out the emulationand test of the system and the result provide a excellent support of the system design inthis thesis.
