In order to prevent the spread of radioactive contamination to areas outside acontrolled area and control the contamination levels of the staff surface at a nuclearpower plant, body contamination monitor is installed at the entrance of the nuclearplants, which is an important part and the last barrier of Controlled Area AccessMonitoring (KZC). Because of the “high count” fault of the monitor of Nuclear PowerQinshan Joint Venture Corporation (NPQJVC) regularly, the safe operation of nuclearpower plants will be affected, so research on key technology of body contaminationmonitor is very necessary.Body Contamination Monitor includes6modules, such as power, flow proportionaldetector, nuclear electronic equipment, Industrial Personal Computer (IPC),mechanical transmission and automatic control, and which parts resulted in the faultof the equipment? Trough the basic composition and the maintenance experiences ofbody contamination monitor, which part is the main factor could be determined, and Itprovides research on key technology of body contamination monitor for a cleardirection, so research on technical fault of body contamination monitor is essential.Because of the “high count” fault of body contamination monitor frequently, thedesign technology of the important part of monitor is becoming more urgent. Throughredesign schematic diagram of the monitoring box, especially detailed analysis oftechnology and design defect of the monitoring box, and fully integrate technology ofthe moisture-proof paint, one-point grounding and patch packaging, complete thepacking and welding of the PCB and debug the parameters. Finally, putting theredesigning the monitoring box on body contamination monitor, the paper hasobtained that the background data is in normal level; the efficiency of hand and feet≧40%,the efficiency of other parts≧50%,the plateau length≧200V, the plateauslop﹤3%/100V, and no fault occurs in body contamination monitor.
