With the rapid development of industry, more and more attention is paid to energyconservation. There are a lot of small-scale waste heat resources in various fields ofChina’s industry.Using this part of energy reasonably, which is of great significance forimproving energy efficiency and the conduction of technology lack in waste heat energyin China. Screw expander can recover low grade heat energy and transform it intoelectrical energy directly, which is a breakthrough of new power machine in the currentfield of energy use. Popularizing screw expander will have a profound impact onnational economy and energy strategy, China’s energy use efficiency can be increased toa new level.Single-screw expander has some advantages of ideal balance of force, simplestructure and low noise. A lot of people are paying much attention to this production. Inthe manufacturing process of the single-screw expander, the most important and mostdifficult process is manufacturing the worm and meshing pair of star wheels. Thismeshing pair is the precision worm gearing vice, its parameter is rather special,essentially. Based on the basic principles of the Worm Gear, combined with thecharacteristics of the single-screw expander, I analyze the application of the Worm Gearin the single-screw expander. In this paper, On the basis of previous the research work islisted as the following aspects:(1)Combined with the basic principles of the hourglass worm gearing, I makeanalysis of single-screw expander meshing pair lines, determine the meshing pair ofsingle-screw expander;(2)According to the space engagement theory, I work up the mathematical model ofthe screw and star wheel, deduced the tooth surface equation of the screw and star wheel.According to the derivation of tooth surface equations, determined the spatialinstantaneous screw tooth surface equations and the tooth surface equations of the starwheel meshing gear; (3)The solid models of the screw and star wheel are drawn by using the3D softwareof Inventor, and proofread the models by way of the MATLAB software.(4)Based on the basic theory of the finite element, I carry out modal analysis of themeshing pair of single-screw expander screw using the ANSYS software, I analyzenatural frequencies and the corresponding critical speed of screw and star wheel, whichcan lay the foundation for the dynamic performance of the machine.(5)Study of screw and wheel processing technology and processing principle,completing screw and wheel of the actual processing.
