The liquid membrane technology was a new type of membrane separation method with the advantages of quick and easy, low cost and energy consumption, high productivity and selectivity and so on. It had aroused great interests of researchers all over the world since it was invented, at present, the technology has been applied to the separation and purification in many fields of hydrometallurgy, petrochemical, environmental engineering and medicine industry. The application researches of liquid membrane separation technology in sugar industry have not been reported at home and abroad. This topic was the first study of the usage in sugar cane juice by liquid membrane separation technology, it preliminarily explored the treatment effect of sugar cane juice after this technology in order to provide a experimental basis for the future application in sugar industry. The work was summarized as follows:1. Studies on the stability of liquid membrane, it was about the stability factors when preparing the liquid membrane. The results showed that:stirring speed, the choice of membrane solvent, operating temperature, membrane alkaline concentration and the external solution pH values were important factors on the stability of the liquid membrane. The higher the stirring speed, the more stable liquid membrane obtained; the separation process of liquid membrane should be in lower temperatures;we generally controled the temperature at20℃; the external solution pH values on the stability of liquid membrane and the pH value of internal reagent were interdependence, and the liquid membrane would stay more stable in neutral solution.2. In the processing experiments of simulated juice, we added phenols to white granulated sugar solution as a the simulated juice and used liquid membrane to deal with it. The results showed that total phenols of samples which were added in standard solution declined after the technology, the range of the phenol removal rate was from10.71%to21.95%, with an average of17.26%. Under the simulation conditions, to carry out the test of removing the phenols in the simulated juice was feasible.3. In the processing experiments of actual sugar cane juice, this paper preliminarily explored the application of liquid membrane separation technology in sugar cane juice using the single factor and orthogonal experiments. In the single factor experiments, we respectively studied of the factors from the concentration of surfactant、Rew、Roi、the concentration of internal reagent、 mixing speed、mixing time and several other factors, and did research on the changes of the color value, total phenolic content, pol and the apparent purity in mixed juice after the liquid membrane technology’s treatment, and in the orthogonal experiments we determined the optimal combination of the process conditions, that was the content of surfactant for3%、Rew1:10、Roi1:、mixing speed was200r/min、processing time was20min. Under this optimal conditions we did a verification test with the results as follows:the phenol removal rate was14.01%, color value reduction rate was16.95%, and the improvement of apparent purity was2.48AP.The studies had shown that liquid membrane separation technology can more successfully remove phenolic compounds of sugar cane juice, reduce the color value, and improve the simple purity. So this technology will have a promising application in the sugar industry.
