With the development of the modern market, Oil demand is growing, domestic oldoilfield continue to dry up and Petroleum Exploitation is more and more difficult, so that itrequires people to mine the original geological reserves nearly half of crude oil fromDepletion of reservoir. So that there is an urgent look forward to generate and applicate thenew type enhanced oil recovery technology. In the number of enhanced oil recoverytechnology, carbon dioxide flooding technology has broad application prospects and aobvious technological advantage.Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (51176023), this paperanalysis and studies the basic knowledge of Carbon dioxide physical and chemical nature, anddescribe the flooding mechanism and injection of carbon dioxide. According to the law ofconservation of mass, established multicomponent multiphase non-isothermal mathematicalmodel of CO2flooding and gave the corresponding solution method. The reservoirconditions of oil which was displaced by CO2should be researched and analyzed before thenumerical simulation on the process of displacing oil by CO2.The purpose is to determinewhether they have the condition of development by gas injection. On the other hand, thedistribution law of remaining oil was different because of the condition of each oil layer wasdifferent. So the degree of influence to the recovery ratio was different, too. Differenttechnology was used to improve the oil recovery ratio depending on the circumstances. Therefore, the research on the distribution law of the remaining oil was conducive tounderstand the potential of oil exploration on the whole which could provide a reference forthe selection of appropriate mining technology. Analyzed the characteristics of the reservoir,so that determin the initial and boundary conditions. Then using the CMG-GEM software todo numerical simulation on carbon dioxide drive process and analysis some factors on theeffect of CO2drive such as reservoir and fluid properties. In the end making a comprehensiveanalysis of the results, and concluding factors affected CO2drive and its law, which providetechnical basis for practical applications.
