By surveying the common green plants in Hangzhou, the common green plants and plantcommunity have been selected,and the dust retention capacity of selected plants has been experimentedin order to provide a theoretical reference to urban greening and plant configuration in Hangzhou.Of the9kinds of selected road plants, the order of the average dust retention capacity in the fourseasons was: Elaeocarpus sylvestris>Koelreuteria integrifoliola>Liquidambar formosana>Sapindusmulorossi>Cinnamomum camphora>Liriodendron chinense>Platanus.acerifolia>Ginkgo biloba>Sapium sebiferum. In the whole year, the order of the average dust retention capacity of five kinds ofshrubs was: Ilex cornuta var.fortunei> Lagerstroemia indica> Photinia serrulata> EuonymusJaponicus> Lorpetalum chindense.In different types of the plants, the strength of the dust blocking was: shrub> herb> arbor.At different time in a day, the dust retention capacity Of the four selected green plants did notshow a certain law, but in general at the time during14:00and16:00,its dust blocking capacity showeda gradually increasing trend. In the same point, different plants had different dust blocking quantity ofunit leaf area, the same plants in the different point, its dust blocking quantity of unit leaf area was notthe same. Studying on the relationship between plant dust capacity and PM10of air all sorts of places,the order of content of PM10content in the air of all sorts of places was: West Bus Station> TianmushanRoad>Fung Tam> Zhejiang University Road> Jiao Gong Road, the average dust capacity of plants of allsorts as follows: West Bus Station> Tianmu Road> Feng Tan Road>Zhejiang University> Jiao GongRoad, which showed that where the higher levels of PM10in the air plants also had a larger dustcapacibity.On the study of dust capacity of road green plants of different heights, dust capacity of fourselected plants were very in its vertical height, dust capacity of plant leaves in the lower location wassignificantly higher than the middle and upper leaves. On the study of plants’ dust capacity on thedifferent locations of the road, four selected shrubs had different dust capacity,the order was: centralreserve of the road green belt> machine isolation belt> the sidewalk. Dust capacity of four commonroad green plants at different distances away from the dust source were significantly different, theselected plants had the maximum dust capacity at the distance of o meters from from the dust source,the dust capacity distance the location of the dust source5m was second, and that on the position fromthe dust source10m minimum. This also showed that the greater the dust capacity of plants the smallerdistance from the dust source, and it decreased with the increased distance from the road. Dust capacityof four vertical green plant increased along with time increased, the order was: Parthenocissustricuspidata> Euonymus fortunei> Wisteria sinensis> Mucuna sempervirens.The dust capacity order of25kinds of the park’s botanical was: Camellia japonica>Aucubajaponica>Ligustrum lucidum>Pterocarya stenoptera>Viburnum odoratissinum>Hibiscus syriacus>Rhododendron pulchrum>Osmanthus fragrans>Michelia figo>Ilex cornuta>Camellia sasanqua>Prunus cerasifera‘Pissardii’>Nerium indicum Mill.>Euonymus Japonicus>Ligustrum sinense> Pittosporum tobira>Lorpetalum chindense>Broussonetia papyrifera>Jasminum mesnyi>Punicagranatum>Trifolium repens>Gardenia jasminoides>Ligustrum quihoui Carr>Nandina domestica>Euonymus fortunei.On the study of community dust, different types of community structure had different dust capacity,the plant community composition of trees, shrubs and grass had the most effective dust capacity, theplant communities type consisted of trees and gress had the second dust capacity, the type of shrub andgrass plant communities was the third, the grass had the lowest dust capacity.The four communitystructure basically show the same trend on average daily change in community dust, PM10concentrations changed in a single peak and single Valley type from9:00to17:00, at10:00to11:00inthe morning it reached the maximum of the day, and then showing a downward trend, and at14:00-15:00in the afternoon reached the minimum value, then showed a slow upward trend;after15:00in the afternoon. The order of the average concentration of PM10in the atmosphere of the community infour seasons was: spring> winter> autumn> summer.Study on the value of dust blocking of street trees, street trees per square meter of the verticalprojection area had the economic value of0.167×10-3yuan, and167yuan per hectare green area. Theorder of the dust blocking economic value of selected street trees was: Cinnamomum camphora>Platanus.acerifolia> Sapindus mulorossi> Liquidambar formosana> Koelreuteria integrifoliola>Elaeocarpus sylvestris> Liriodendron chinense> Ginkgo biloba> Sapium sebiferum.
