With the globalization, the growing competition and diversity of customer needs put forward a higher requirement for the supply chain management. Stable and efficient inbound logistics is the guarantee of production and sales for the enterprise. This paper is based on Six Sigma management, and tries to solve the specific material supply problem in inbound logistics in the Chinese factory belonging to foreign company in accordance with the steps of DMAIC. Regarding material supply, Key performance indexes are defined according to actual environment and customer needs, which are POU (Point of Use) availability and logistics turn, so that the problem of material supply can be measured, and then some key inputs affecting the key outputs are determined. After the data collection, analysis with SPC, Pugh Matrix and AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process), five improvement methods are chosen considering the practical environment, which include replenishment method improvement, transportation way improvement, IRA (Inventory record accuracy) improvement, Inner logistics routine improvement and safety stock optimization. Finally they are verified in the control phase, and the two output KPIs are improved.
