Digital filter is digital signal analysis is the most important part of the signal filtration plays an important role, with high precision, stability, high flexibility and system function to change etc. In a lot of practical electronic system, requests the amplitude frequency characteristics, and asked for good with linear phase characteristic of FIR digital filters of characteristics these make it used more widely. In recent years, with the FPGA as a representative of the programmable logic devices became the hardware realization of digital signal processing, because of its choice in speed and integration of fast and reliable FPGA exclusively look-up table structure, which is very suitable for the realization of FIR digital filters. This article is in this context of begin to on FPGA FIR digital filters research.This thesis based on MATLAB FPGA and FIR digital filters to research and design, the main research contents are as follows:First, in the FIR digital filters the basis of the principle of distributed algorithm, using the principle of distributed algorithm was used to optimize the. Distributed computing the look-up table can replace the multiplication, but with the order number increase, the look-up table size also is met subsequently growth, lookup tables grouping is undoubtedly the best choice. But how to packet to speed and area reached best effect, this paper makes detailed discussion. And with 16 first-order FIR digital filters for the cases of the look-up table grouping, divided into four input lookup tables or two eight input lookup tables, and calculate the operation results demonstrate its correctness.Secondly, based on the MATLAB according to the design index to the 16th order FIR low-pass digital filter out the design extracted from the tap number, and the parameter was quantized treatment, converts binary fill yards, facilitate the FPGA device calculation. And then based on the module partition of the design principle and design techniques based on FPGA delaminating, points module of FIR digital filters for research and design. Can be divided into four function module, using VHDL VHDL completed for each module design, finally completed the FIR digital filters of the whole system design. Key research design the look-up table LUT module respectively, the four input lookup tables and eight input addition tree look-up table design simulation and comparison, performance analysis.Finally through QuartusⅡsoftware of FIR digital filters system design, and simulation get actual results, karman vortex-street appeares comparing calculation error. Input mix frequency sine signals, through FIR low-pass digital filter gives, and through MATLAB and QuartusⅡsoftware simulation, the joint respectively get mixed signal and filtered signal of time domain and frequency spectrum, watch the effect fluctuations, and carries on the contrast analysis. Comprehensive above results verified the study design is feasible.
