With the continuous development of Internet services, the loss caused by networkoutages becomes more and more unacceptable. Development of highavailability network equipments, improving the security performance of routing protocoland enhancing the network quality of service have become the goals of the nextgeneration network-building. Carrier Ethernet switching platform as one of the importantnext generation of Internet node devices,its performance directly affects the quality of theentire network. In order to improve the network availability, the Internet EngineeringTask Force proposed an extension of the routing protocols to reduce the decline ofnetwork service quality caused by the protocol failures.This article focuses on the study ofOSPF high-availability, and designed the OSPF graceful restart based on CarrierEthernet switching platform. Test environment to validate the design, test results showthat the graceful restart mechanism is helpful to improve the network performance.Introduction part introduces the research background and content. Thesecond chapter analyzes the operation principles of the OSPF protocol anddatagram structure. The third chapter describes high availability technology, and theposition of OSPF graceful restart shared in high-availability technology. Thefourth chapter describes the design and implementation of OSPF graceful restart based oncarrier Ethernet switching platform. Chapter Five is the test section. ChapterSix summarizes the paper and the prospect for further work to do. |
