Spare Parts Catalog & Order-making System For Overseas Clients Of Commercial Vehicle Company

With the rapid development of the automobile export business, an efficient type of after sale service is required by the overseas customers. With the popular use of computers and networks technology, the service operation is changed towards a highly automated way. Automotive companies are usually distributed in different locations of manpower, equipment, information and so on, a managing system based on internet is greatly helpful to shorten response time and improve the spare parts supplying ability, which leads to the formation of a more advantaging market competitiveness for vehicle enterprises.In this paper, based on the project of"the managing program of spare part data and orders"carried out by Dongfeng Automobile Co., Ltd., a system was developed to satisfy overseas customers by using computer network technology, database technology and modern management theory. The main research in this paper includes:(1)By the use of Java technology and three layer contact technology, the program system is capable of managing sales information , customer information, and spare part service information on an internet platform, and a quick reaction after sale service is guaranteed.(2)Based on the analysis of the compiling process of spare part catalog and price list, a complete set of efficient functions and tools is developed to define and manage the attribute of every spare part in the system, like price, common spare parts ,suppliers, technical version and so on.(3)Based on the point of view of information safety, the managing system adapts different contact policies to serve its users of domestic and overseas customer respectively, and the research and analysis shows that the overseas commercial vehicle spare parts managing system is well functioned and operated reliably.
