The upgrading of railway system demands higher requirements for control systems, objectively. Reliable communication among these control systems is a significant issue, which is also the main point of this thesis. In this paper, reliability issues are divided into four ports, which includes software, hardware, management and bus itself problems. Plus, it further discussed the hardware problem and bus self-owned characters.The entire thesis contains five sections:First chapter, introduces about current situation and future develop trend of communication between sub-systems in safety system.Second chapter, studies the method to improve the reliability of communication, which includes software solution, hardware solution, bus selection and management solution.Third chapter, studies about RS422and RS485protocols. First discuss serial communication interface in many kinds of processors and serial drive chips. Then, choose a fail-safe driver, design and implement serial fault-safe communication node. According to test result, this node can output safe signal when some usual errors are happening. The result meets fault-safe requirements of serial communication.Fourth chapter, detailed explores about TI safety chip TMS570. Study TMS570integrated dual-channel redundant safety BUS, design and achieve Flexray communication nodes. Furthermore, author writes the driver-interface functions for Flexray modal. In addition, taking practical operation problems into consideration, this thesis proposes experiment design and research approaches in next steps.
