With the development of communication and control technology, vehicle electronic equipment gradually to information technology, comprehensive and intelligent direction. The traditional vehicle bus(CAN/LIN/MOST)already can not adapt to the requirements of high performance nodes due to the rise of X-By-Wire technology.Because of high cost and high-tech threshold, the next generation bus FlexRay is difficult to promote in a short time. Therefore,FlexRay and CAN hybrid network will be Will be more widely used.Information exchange between the two networks will need to gateway.Domestic auto industry is no specific application of FlexRay/CAN gateway therefore the research and implementation of the gateway has an important significance. This paper introduces the gateway hardware and software design, and a set of networking solutions. At the beginning, this paper analysises the characteristics of the ECU and the Mainstream vehicle bus.Next,It elaborates on FlexRay and CAN bus protocol. After this, building the gateway hardware platform based on embedded microcontroller processor MPC8245and Xilinx CPLD.In order to ensure real-time and stability, software design is based on embedded real-time operating system VxWorks. The latter part is the network debugging,it uses the Vector’s network design tools to complete the design of network parameters, then check the legitimacy of these parameter with CANoe.FlexRay, and importing these parameters into the actual node to build a FlexRay network environment.Complete FlexRay/CAN Network Integrated Test after the CAN transceiver test. Finally,Verified and test the functionality and performance of the gateway module and hybrid network in the real environmental.
