This paper mainly discusses how to guarantee information's reliable and real-time transmission in small satellite communication system based on the thinking of integrated design. Proper coding scheme is designed to decrease error-rate, meanwhile, improve data throughput in digital transmission.In digital satellite communication systems digital signals will arouse error at the receiving port due to the effect of multi-path and various noises in the transmission channel. We can use error-correction codes to detect or get rid of these inevitable errors to to decrease bit error rate and increase the reliability of communication.RS code is a linear error correction codes with better error correction capability, can effectively correct random errors and burst errors, has the best error correcting capability in all kinds of block error-correcting codes. The error correcting capability of RS code is undoubted, according with the reliable requirements of small satellite communication system, but its complex coding and decoding algorithm and slow rate of throughput, although from the day of RS coder be proposed, the algorithm has being optimizing for more easily application, modified Euclidean algorithm, Step-by-step decoding algorithm, Berlekamp algorithm and so on, but when the quantity of pending decoding data and error corrected increasing, there will be a quick rise of the difficulty of solving syndromes, BM or Euclidean matrix iteration and Chien search. Is will aggravate the burden of information exchanging on onboard processing.A new coding method, parallel coding and decoding data into groups in lower step finite field for avoiding complex matrix iteration and Chien search computation, is proposed in this paper. exactly this thought to guarantee information's reliable and real-time transmission in small satellite communication system based on the thinking of integrated design.In this paper, to speedup RS coding and decoding speed and reduce the resource of consumption, a new implementation method of RS code, grouping data into several groups, then parallel coding, is proposed. Finally, the simulation results of ModelSim 6.0 SE and synthesis results of ISE 9.1I prove that this grouping parallel RS code can correct the same error quantity with lower resources and higher speed. By this means, Reliability and real time capability of communication system satisfies the requirements, meanwhile, it puts good use of RS coder in some field in need of highly error-correction ability and throughput at the same time.
