With the rapid development of computer and network technology, the Internet is used widely. Increasingly prominent issue of network security has been alaremed users about the efficient application of network. Considering network security, some sectors and industries established the private network belonging to their own. So the probability of network security incidents reduce to a large extent. Because of the incompleteness of the network protocol design, the operating system vulnerabilities, staff misuse or other reasons, security incidents that effect the normal operation of network maybe occur in special network. Therefore, how to master the status of network performance from a global perspective is the problems faced by network management.Purpose of this research is through the private network to evaluate the performance status, allowing administrators to master the details of the network conditions to facilitate targeted maintenance and optimization. General network performance evaluation using a measuring device or procedure directly measured data from the network, then the data obtained by the performance evaluation. This study focuses on the simulation study. Simulation to evaluate network performance, while focusing on unusual events of the impact on network performance, and to take counter measures. Aims to combine the operation of the network status, the analysis of abnormal events to determine their impact on network performance and test the control effect.This paper presents a simulation-based network performance evaluation. Select from the simulation results as a certain amount of statistical evaluation, obtained by calculating a composite indicator to reflect the network performance. Conducted a series of experiments, done under the general condition of the network performance evaluation and simulation of network traffic anomalies, quantitative analysis of their impact on network performance, the control strategy changes before and after the composite indicator to do than to measure the simulation the effect of control strategies.Experiments show that the proposed simulation-based network performance evaluation method can reflect the overall state of the network. Implement control strategy on the points selected by the algorithm under abnormal condition can improve network performance evaluation value and increase network availability. Control strategy's effectiveness has been verified.
