The wireless sensor networks , composed of lots of low-cost nodes with abilities of sensing ,processing data and wireless communication, is self-organized networks. The energy of the nodesis supplied by the batteries. Because the nodes work in the dangerous regions, the energy of thenodes cannot be supplied easily. So, reducing the consumption of the energy and prolonging thelifetime of the networks is very important.Based on the mutli-agent system, this dissertation proposes STCAW (Self-adaptive TopologyControl Algorithm based on Weight)and SCACS( Self-adaptive topology Control algorithm basedon Appropriate Clustering Scale). By setting weights, inluding the residual energy of the agent, the average distances between agent and the sink agent, the count of the agent's neighbors,STCAW chooses the best agent as the cluster header. Firstly, by the STCAW algorithm, SCACSchooses the best agent as the cluster head. Then, by adjusting the transmit power of the clusterhead, the optimized network clustering will be obtained. After forming the optimized networkclustering, SCACS ensures that every agent in the network can find the cluster header. The improved algorithms in this paper are simulated by using the OMNET++ tool. Simulationresults show that the improved algorithms can enhance the efficiency of the network and prolongthe lifetime of the network.
