With the rapid development of wireless communication technology and computer network, wireless Ad Hoc network produces laid a foundation. It is a multi-hop, temporarily, equivalence autonomy system, which consists of a set of wireless transceiver letter with the mobile node device. The network has high mobility, widely used in military communications, emergency rescue, sensor networks and other communications occasion.Wireless Ad Hoc network has multi-hop, self-organizing and network topology dynamic change and other characteristics, this makes the traditional network routing technology can't be directly used in Ad Hoc network. Due to the Ad Hoc network topology changes frequently and node energy limited and other characteristics, make improving the reliability of routing become one of the major problems in Ad Hoc network routing technology research, this thesis will regard multipath routing of the routing technology as the main research direction to discuss.In a large number of Ad Hoc network protocol, on-demand distance vector routing protocol has better performance compare to other. This thesis first outline Ad Hoc networks, including Ad Hoc network's definition, development process, characteristics, system structure and application domain. Then introduce Ad Hoc network routing protocols and the key technology problems, Focus on the introduction of Focus on the introduction of the basic principle of AODV routing protocols, routing table structure and realization process. Then analysis the research of multipath routing technology, and introduces several kinds of typical multipath routing protocol. Finally introduce emphatically multipath routing protocol AOMDV based on AODV routing protocol, and improvement AOMDV by choose the signal strength and energy as transmits data for selection criteria of main path, proposes a new multipath routing protocol S_EAOMDV. Through the simulation test, compare average packet delivery, routing protocol spending and average end-to-end delay to AOMDV routing protocol. Through the NS2 simulation results show that the improved AOMDV protocol under the situation of without routing spending increased obviously, but average delivery rate and average end-to-end delay improved, it can adapt the fast motion network environment better.
