Along with the rapid development of the economy and the improvement of living standard,people have become increasingly demanding on the spiritual level, no longer satisfied withthe pursuit of the food and clothing. However, nowadays, sports can meet the material andspiritual demands of people. Depending on its own charming, sports play an important role inpeople's life.China is the largest population in the world and has the largest sports audience, however,China's sports broadcasting has a late start. It was in the June19,1958, Beijing TV (nowrenamed CCTV) broadcast the Beijing man and woman basketball teams and Ba Yi man andwoman basketball teams' games. In the initial stage of the sports broadcasting, thebroadcasting programs were not common and without high quality. At that time, televisionstations only broadcast major sports events, such as, the Olympic Games, Asian Games.Audience can only watch the broadcasting programs passively and had a small range ofoptions. However, accompanied by continuous improvement and development of China'ssports system, in1994, China's football game adopted a new league system, and our country'ssports broadcasting also entered a new stage. After this, CCTV sports channel had beenfounded, and then the top sports events came into people's life, such as, NBA, the World Cup,Tennis Masters Cup and so on. China now has become the world's sports power, promptingmore people to pay attention to the large-scale sports events. Sports broadcasting iswell-received by audiences. Therefore, in order to develop China's sports broadcasting careerand meet the requirements of a wide sports audience, it is necessary take the study of thestatus quo of large-scale sports events broadcasting.In this paper, the research uses the methods of literature, fieldwork, expert interview andlogical analysis to study the domestic and foreign status quo of large-scale sports eventsbroadcasting, and then takes the Shenzhen Universiade as an example to further explore theproblems of China's large-scale sports events broadcasting. At last, this paper analyses theimprovement countermeasures. It is of great significant to better serve the wide sportsaudience, improve the status quo of large-scale sports events broadcasting and further developChina's sports career.
