A Study On The Relation Of The Interaction Between The Lineage And The Villagers Under The Perspective Of The Main Body's Words

This paper describes the interaction amongst the Su lineage Foundation, the Gui-Gang Su lineages and the villagers of X village and Z village.in South Guang-Xi, China. It aims to show three things:first by focusing on the main body of villagers' usage of words to study the interaction between the lineages and villagers; secondly, to describe the lineage as a supplement to the study of the lineage in South Guang-Xi; and third, through in depth anatomy of cases, analyse the behavior of these 2 lineage, its cultures, formal authority factors in the two lineages in the village's social system.The Su lineage Foundation and the Gui-Gang Su lineages council were set up in 2007.It is created from scratch in X village and Z village. The former is a village lineage with strong mutual; the latter is a city structure with stronger cultural and utilitarian. The two are closely linked with the leader of the lineage and the cultural system of the village. At a certain level, the lineages are full of the psychological needs of the villagers.A change of perspective is required for a modern study for lineage. We can get to inset substance the new mean of the lineages from the tradition perspective; and we can discover the reasons for changes from a modem perspective. This study found that that the two lineages have an effect on the cultural and the ceremonial rites in the village, but few effects on the other areas. The villagers as the main body of the lineages react to the lineages, just the same as they react to the environment of the villages.Chapter 1, Introduction. This part introduces the reasons and the goal of the study.Chapter 2,Document review. This section composes two parts:the study which uses the lineage as the object and the lineage as variable. Starting from the limitations of previous studies, the author put forward a new perspective which combines the needs of individual and the structure,and a new methodology is the main body's usage of words. Chapter 3 mainly introduces the design of the study. First, introduces the object of the study, the Su Lineage Foundation and the Gui-Gang Su Lineages Council. Second, in order to study and understand it easily, this article clarifies the concepts of the lineage and lineage organizations. Third, introduce the research ideology and the method. Third, describes about the general situation about the fieldwork and the investigation process.Chapter 4 The villagers' awareness of the environment of the village community. This chapter contains two parts:First, the memory of the lineage origin, lineage solidarity, and collective action in the village. Especially their description of Zhu-Zai alley, rice collection and old play. Second, the villagers' concern on the main current problems in the village, mainly including the evaluation of the current rural society policy,the village cadres,and the focus on the road construction.Chapter 5 is the main part of this article. It mainly introduces the reason of founding the lineage, the general situation, the inter-play, and the leaders' influence on the two lineage organizations. Basing on the above,it then introduces the inter-play between the lineage and the villagers in the X and Z.villages. Which includings the weddings and funerals, intergenerational transmission, and fending off crisis. It also tries to uncover reveal the logic of the inter-play between by the usage of words and the case studies on the villages.Chapter 6 Seek to explore the psychological factors in the villagers' inter-play with the lineage, including the reasons for joining the lineage organization, participation and evaluation of the organization and the expectations on the development of the organization.Chapter 7 sums up the paper, and concrete discussions. There are three main points,1) the characteristic and the features of the lineage in South Gunag-Xi,2) the reason for the founding and development of the lineages,and the future trend of lineage,3) the difficuties of organizational development of the village lineages.This paper focuses on discursion on the inter-play between the lineage and the villagers by through the behavior and the value judgments. The villagers'usage of words play an important role in understanding the rural society, which helps to achieve the goal of seeing the structure and the people at the same time.In short, there are two contributions in the paper:First, The paper makes a specific description the status quo of two Su village lineages, and the inter-play between the lineages and villagers in South Guang-Xi, China,to atone for the a deficiency that there was not previous enough study on the lineage in this region. Secondly, this paper opens up new research perspectives and new methodologies. It has a new research perspective to see both of the structure and the people, and the new methodologies to present villagers'usage of words to reflect the existence and the rational development of lineages.
