Chinese Buddhist is an important data to study the history of Chinese; and it is even more precious for Middle Chinese research. Prajnaparamita is early Chinese Buddhist scriptures, which can more vividly reflect the feature of language at that time, and thus become our good materials to study Middle Chinese. There are lexical studies for Prajnaparamita accidentally at present but grammar is rare, so this paper tries to do something to this aspect. This article chooses the conjunctions of Prajnaparamita as research object, in order to find the development and evolution of conjunction in this period. The paper consists of four chapters. The first chapter is a sumamary. This chapter presents not only the research status and value of Prajnaparamita, but also the research contents and methods; it explains the classification standards too. Chapter2 gives a total description of conjunction. This chapter studies the distribution of conjunction in Prajnaparamita and gives a comprehensive and detailed description. The third chapter introduces characteristics, structure and usage. Based on the former chapter, this chapter summarizes characteristics of conjunction in the Prajnaparamita as an ancient literature: First, conjunctions are more precise in expression; second, synonymous conjunction is various while syllable structure displays obvious disyllable; third, word formation is diverse and there is a new word—additional word; Fourth, there are few conjunctions in compound sentences, which is less used in Prajnaparamita. The Buddhist corpus is tending to be oral. The fourth chapter studies cases, which analyzes the falsified process and falsified mechanism of words, such as"just","and even","hold, maintenance"and so on.
