Influenza is an acute respiratory tract infection caused by influenza viruses and it remains a serious health concern. In this paper we focuse on the biological characteristics of influenza virus , and we also describe the development of anti-influenza agents. The antiviral activity of Arbidol hydrocloride, as a new antiviral agent, is most pronounced against influenza viruses of the A and B antigenic type. Arbidol has been developed and introduced for the treatment and prophylaxis of respiratory viral infections.Adamantanamine and Rimantadine as M2 proteinum inhibitors, can suppress A type influenza virus. On the basis of early research, arbidol is used as the leading compound. And ethyl 5-hydroxy-1H-indole-3-carboxylate is chosen as elementary structure. Some modifications are made at position 1,. position 2,position 4 and position 6 of the indole nucleus by using the principles of combination . 22 target compounds are designed and prepared which had not been reported in literatures. The structures of the 22 target compounds are confirmed by MS and ~1H-NMR.The test on antivirus activity of these target compounds is in progress. |
