| All the times anti-aging is a hot and bewildered topic. With the trend of aging population in world is more and more obvious, the study of anti-aging is more interested. Aging is irreversible. The purpose of anti-aging is to improve the life quality of senior citizens, and retard the progress of aging. However, the life quality of senior citizens is affected obviously because of the diminution of learning and memory ability.Herb arenariae is an innocuous and natural drug. It has perpetual history of medicine. Therefore, this paper focuses on herb arenariae to explore the effect of natural plant on anti-aging and improving the ability of learning and memory, and the mechanism. The KM mice was injected D-galactose in the napes and backs to establish the sub-acute aging models. Meanwhile, the treated groups were intragastric administration with the solution of herb arenariae (low dosage 2%, middle dosage 4%, high dosage 8%). The model group was intragastric administration with saline. The blank control group was injected and intragastric administration with saline. The ability of learning and memory in mice was measured with Morris water maze and step down test. The activity of NOS, GSH-Px and AChE in central nerve system of mice was assayed.Test results prove that herb arenariae can improve the ability of learning and memory in sub-acute aging mice, increase the activity of NOS, GSH-Px and reduce the activity AChE in central nerve system of mice. Experimental results demonstrated that herb arenariae have effects of anti-aging and improving ability of learning and memory. Helping body clear lipid peroxide, developing the anti-oxidation of brain tissue, increasing the content of ACh in brain, and others may be the mechanism. |
