The TCM Analysis On Syndrome Patterns Of Hormone Dependent Breast Cancer And The Influence Of The Herbs To Intervenes The Side Effectives Of Endocrine Therapy And The Quality Of Life

The TCM analysis on syndrome patterns of hormone dependent breast cancer and the influence of the Herbs to intervenes the Side effectives of endocrine therapy and the quality of lifeObjective:To observe and compare the herbs combined endocrine therapy and the breast cancer endocrine therapy, find out the Syndrome differentiation regularity of TCM, and the untoward effect of endocrine therapy, also the quality of life, analysis and summary of herbs' role in the treatment of hormone-dependent breast cancer.Methods:A prospective clinical trial, according to the application of herbs, and the menopause situation,100 patients who accepting the endocrine therapy of hormone-dependent breast cancer were divided into four groups:A group of 40 were premenopausal cases, giving Herbs; B group of 26 cases were pre-menopausal, without using herbs; C group of 19 were postmenopausal cases, giving Herbs; D group of 15 were postmenopausal cases, without using herbs. After 3 months of treatment, follow-up and compare the situation of herbs which intervenes the side effectives of endocrine therapy and the score which evaluate the quality of life.Results:According to the TCM differentiation analysis, the syndrome differentiation between the pre-menopausal patients and the postmenopausal patients is different, and the syndrome differentiations have no directly relationship with staging. Premenopausal and postmenopausal (A and B, C and D) between the two groups, the adverse reaction score of the herbs using treatment group was significantly declined compared with before treatment (P <0.05) in 1 month and 3 months, compared two groups of premenopausal, the score of group A are significantly improved (P<0.05) than group B in hot flashes, sweating, nausea, dizziness, loss of appetite, leucorrhea, vaginal bleeding; The symptoms like:hot flashes, joint pain, vaginal dry, nausea, headache were significantly improved of group C(P<0.05).The quality of life score of group Aand C in after 1 month,3 months has significantly improved than group B and D.Different TCM syndrome quality of life improvement in all dimensions vary.Conclusion:TCM differentiation treatment can improves the common untoward effect of endocrine therapy in breast cancer patients, to prevents the patients who underwent with the endocrine treatment does not need to abandon the therapy because of the untoward effects, and also improves the quality of life in patients with hormone-dependent breast cancer, in sum, the herbs treatment and the endocrine therapy may can have a synergistic effect, together to prevent recurrence and metastasis.
