Modified Z-Epicanthoplasty Combining Construction Of Double Eyelid In Epicanthus

Objective: Eyes are the vital organ of the human body, which can not only increase the facial beauty, but also occupies an important role in emotion expressing.During the eyelid surgery,we should adjust the internal anthus to improve surgical quality, that will appear more beautiful. Epicanthus can influence the double eyelid surgery's indication,so that we must correct the epicanthus at the same time.Epicanthus,which also can called mongoloid fold,that is skin fold of half-moon in the canthus.It is one of the Oriental nation eye characteristics, according to statistics about 5 0 % of the asians exist epicanthus, especially in foldless eyelid crowd share about 70 % above.Through clinical observations suggest that the light and medium's epicanthus by minimally invasive surgery or hump nose to reach aesthetic effect . This article through clinical verification think,that improved Park "Z" plasty joint double eyelid correct the severe epicanthus(note: anatomy points for palpebra inferior and palpebra frontalis- inferior) is effect satisfaction.Object and methods: shenyang military'sdepartment of plastic surgery from 2008 to 2010 single eyelid and severe eoicanthus(note: anatomy points for palpebra inferior and palpebra frontalis- inferior) patients to separate 30 cases of two groups.Method one: A group of 30 cases, this group had done the operation of double eyelid.(note:double eyelid operation in the same kind of both groups about section). Group B, this group of 30 cases of operation,which had done the operation of double eyelid and improved Park "Z" plasty. After 3 months, compare A, B two groups of postoperative eye form of satisfaction, difference was not statistically significant (P > 0. 0 5)and statistically significant difference (P < 0. 0 5). Method2: from the group of 60 patients with aesthetic standard to measure the inner canthic diameter and rima oculi,which is after 3 monthes:(according to the basic aesthetic standard) set interval will not close to the standards ,that is interal (a<0.9) (a>1.2);Will be closer to the standard's interval is(0.9 acuities 1.2).Then to arrange form statistical analyses, difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05)and significant difference (P<0.05).Results: There are two groups are 60 patients.They are after 3 months observation , which is also according to the above method and design principles,Conclusion: This epicanthus correction technology in severe population can be widely used, simple and effective, with good cosmetic outcom。...
