Objective: To assess the right ventricular total and longitudinal function in normal controls and patients with hypertension without left ventricular remodeling(HT) by Tei index, 2-dimensional strain and quantitative tissue velocity.Methods: Longitudinal peak systolic velocity(V),peak systolic strain(S),peak systolic strain rate(SR) , early and late diastolic peak velocity(Ve and Va), early and late diastolic peak strain rate(SRe and SRa) of right ventricular free wall were recorded for basal,mid and apical segment measured by 2DS and QTVI respectively in 50 patients with hypertension without left ventricular remodeling and 60 healthy controls, and obtained Tei index by tissue doppler pulse-wave and QTVI respectively.Results:1)Commonly data: The age,sex,heart rate , LVDd, IVSTd, LVPWTd,LVMI and RWT of two groups were not significantly different (P>0.05).2) Tei index of right ventricular: Compared with the controls,the PW-TDI-Tei index and QTVI-Tei index in patients with HT were increased significantly(P<0.05).3)Right ventricular longitudinal systolic function:(1)Compared with the controls ,2DS manifested S and SR of all segments in patients with HT were decreased significantly(P<0.05). QTVI displayed S and SR of mid segment in patients with HT were decreased significantly(P<0.05). V of all segments in patients with HT measured by 2DS and QTVI were not significantly different(P>0.05). (2)In each group ,S and SR of mid segment measured by 2DS and QTVI had positive correlations (r=0.522~0.880,P<0.05).4)Right ventricular longitudinal diastolic function: (1)2DS manifested SRe,SRe/SRa of all segments of the right ventricular free wall in patients with HT were lower than those of the controls(P<0.05). QTVI displayed SRe,SRe/SRa of mid segment of the right ventricular free wall in patients with HT were lower than those of the controls (P<0.05)(.2)Compared with controls, Ve,Ve/Va of all segments in patients with HT measured by 2DS were lower than those of the controls (P<0.05),but QTVI manifested Ve,Va and Ve/Va of all segments of the right ventricular free wall in patients with HT were not significantly different(P>0.05).In each group,SRe and SRa of mid segment measured by 2DS and QTVI had positive correlations (r=0.629~0.859,P<0.05).Conclusions: Right ventricular total and longitudinal systolic function in patients with hypertension without left remodeling has been damaged. Both PW-TDI-Tei index and QTVI-Tei index can evaluate right ventricular total function.Both 2DS and QTVI can evaluate right ventricular longitudinal function,in addition,2DS can assess more exactly and sensitively. |
