Objective:1. To test the plasma level of GDF-15 in three groups (NYHAâ… -â…¡,NYHAIII-IV and control group), and investigate the statistical significance of GDF-15 in different groups.2. To test the plasma level of hs-CRP,NT-proBNP in three groups, and investigate the statistical significance of hs-CRP,NT-proBNP in different groups.3. To investigate the relationship among GDF-15,hs-CRP and NT-proBNP.4. To discuss the role of GDF-15 in diagnosis and risk stratification of heart failure patients.Methods:1. Based on clinical symptoms,signs and echocardiography examination, We enrolled 51 cases of heart failure paitent(27 cases of NYHAâ… -â…¡,24 cases of NYHAâ…¢-â…£, LVEF<50%)and 25 control subjects (who were not heart failure patients and matched with age and gender) in Sichuan Provincial People's hospital from March 2010 to December 2010.2. Questionnaire was designed according to the trial, record their general information,medical history and so on, All subjects underwent physical examination, anthropometric measurements, echocardiography examination (LVEF) and biochemical screening. Blood samples were centrifuged at 2500 g for 10 min, and plasma aliquots were stored at-70℃immediately before analysis.3. Plasma level of GDF-15 and NT-proBNP were determined by ELISA, plasma level of hs-CRP was tested by laboratory of Sichuan Provincial People s hospital by Rate of scattering method.4. To analysis the data by SPSS 16.0 statistical software.Results:1. There were statistical significance of plasma GDF-15,hs-CRP and NT-proBNP level amog NYHAâ…¢-â…£,NYHAâ… -â…¡and control groups (P<0.05 Respectively)2. There were statistical significance of LVEF amog NYHAâ…¢-â…£,NYHAâ… -â…¡and control groups (P<0.05)3. There were statistical significance of plasma Cr,UA in NYHAâ…¢-â…£,to NYHAâ… -â…¡,control groups (P<0.05 Respectively), however, there were not statistical significance between NYHAâ… -â…¡and control groups (P>0.05)4. GDF-15,hs-CRP had positive correlation with NT-proBNP respectively.Conclusion:1. As non-specific stress protein, GDF-15 increased in heart failure paitents, and increased with ascent of NYHA functional class, it is expected to become a new marker for heart failure paitents.2. hs-CRP,NT-proBNP increased in heart failure paitents, and increased with ascent of NYHA functional class.3. GDF-15,hs-CRP had positive correlation with NT-proBNP respectively, combined detection of GDF-15,hs-CRP and NT-proBNP may be more helpful in diagnosis and risk stratification of heart failure paitents. |
