| Objective: Brain natriuretic peptide,a peptide hormone secreted chiefly by ventricular myocytes, plays a key role in body fluid equilibrium. Brain natriuretic peptide causes natriuresis,diruses, Vasodila-tation,smooth muscle relaxation, anti-fibrotic effects on cardiac fibro-blasts,impairment myocardial hypertrophy and enlarged ventricle.NT-proBNP secreted chiefly by ventricular myocytes is the biologically inactive peptide hormone. Plasma concentrations of BNP and NT-proBNP are a good marker of later development and prognostic of kinds of diseases, especially cardiovascular disease. The role of BNP and NT-pro-BNP are recommended as the key examination to exclude, reveal the pulmonary disease. In the management of patients with cardiovascular disease the role of BNP and NT-proBNP in the diagnosis, management and prognosis is evident .This article reviews some progresses about correlation study between these peptide hormone and these diseases.Methods: There were two groups, including the control(50) and the trial(108).The plasma BNP concentration was measured with immunefluore- scence assay.The plasma NT-proBNP concentration was measured with ELASE. Then the cardiac function class of NYHA were assessed.The statistic methods were employed to analyze the experimental data, such as comparing the data between the control and the trial.Results: The plasma BNP average concentration of the trial was (1469.6±468.9)ng/L, while that of the control was (46.1±12.5) ng/L. The plasma BNP average concentration of the control was significantly lower than that of the trial (P<0.01). The plasma BNP concentration increased with The cardiac function class of NYHA rised, and with LVEF deceased. The plasma NT-proBNP average concentration of the trial was (1469.6±468.9)ng/L,while that of the control was (46.1±12.5) ng/L.The plasma NT- proBNP average concentration of the control was significantly lower than that of the trial (P<0.01).The plasma NT-proBNP concentration increased with The cardiac function class of NYHA rised, and with LVEF deceased.Conclusion: The plasma BNP and NT-proBNP have highly sensibility, specificity, truth.BNP ,NT-proBNP, Echocardiography reflected in LVEF and hema-dynamic parameters have a better relevance with grade NYEF. BNP and NT-proBNP are good indicators of the diagnosis in congestive heart failure classified.in particular,non-typical symptoms for early diagno- sis of heart failure.BNP and NT-proBNP have significant value in the diagnosis. |
