ObjectiveTo explore the value of E-tracking technology ( ET) in evaluating artery elasticity in drinker ,in order to provide the theory for the early atherosclerosis in drinker .MethodsOne hundred and forty one subjects were enrolled in the study and grouped to 35 ones of non-drink group,35 ones of modicum-drink group,35 ones of moderate-drink group and 36 ones of heavy-drink group,that all of the subjects exclude high blood-pressure, hyperlipidemia,diabetes and serious heart,brain,kidney,hypothyroid disease,carotid arteries have no plaque. Application of E-tracking technology torack real-time polygraph subjects bilateral common carotidarter wall movement, Calculated analysis of stiffness parameter(β), epressure-strain elastic coefficient (Ep),arterial compliance(AC),one-point pulse wave velocity calculate fromβ(PWVβ), and carry on statistics analysis to various parameters to assess carotid artery elasticity change of drinker. To make the analysis of variance and the LSD method with the SPSS 17.0 statistial package and the detecting datas were expressed by mean±standard deviation.It has statistical significance when P<0.05. Results1.Comparison common things among all groups has no statistical significance (P>0.05).2.Comparison intima-media thickness of common carotid artery and bifurcation among all groups has no statistical significance (P>0.05).3. Comparison parameter among four groups had difference(P<0.05),with the increase in alcohol consumption,stiffness parameter(β), elasticity modulus(Ep),one point pulsewave velocity calculated fromβvalue(PWVβ) values gradually increased,arterial compliance(AC) decreased. Comparation between two groups show: except modicum-drink group and non-drink group values in each parameter between groups showed no significant difference(P>0.05); comparation among the rest groups with each other had significant difference(P<0.05 or P<0.01).3.1 Non-drink group:β,Ep,PWVβ,AC in left common carotid artery is ( 6.70±1.32),( 90.06±21.84 ),( 5.58±0.70 ),(1.08±0.30);β,Ep,PWVβ,AC in right common carotid artery is(7.13±1.43),(94.71±22.24),(5.99±0.71),(1.07±0.28).3.2Modicum-drink group:β,Ep,PWVβ,AC in left common carotid artery is ( 7.20±1.81 ),( 97.06±20.02 ),( 6.04±0.60 ),(0.98±0.31);β,Ep,PWVβ,AC in right common carotid artery is(7.14±1.84),(95.23±29.18),(6.00±0.90),(1.06±0.35).3.3Moderate-drink group:β,Ep,PWVβ,AC in left common carotid artery is ( 9.68±0.54 ),( 133.17±10.04 ),( 7.06±0.32 ),(0.79±0.17);β,Ep,PWVβ,AC in right common carotid artery is(9.69±1.02),(131.57±16.30),(7.10±0.64),(0.81±0.21).3.4Heavy-drink group:β,Ep,PWVβ,AC in left common carotid artery is ( 13.20±1.67 ),( 180.92±29.35 ),( 8.19±0.67 ),(0.58±0.12) ;β,Ep,PWVβ,AC in right common carotid artery is(11.98±3.18),(162.06±44.68),(7.72±0.91),(0.67±0.16). 5.The correlated of analysis among elasticity factors ,There were close correlations betweenβ,Ep,AC and PWVβ(P<0.01). Conclusion1. Heavy-drink,modicum-drink can bring the decrease of carotid arterial elasticity.2. Modicum-drink do not change carotid arterial elasticity.3.ET technique can early detection the change of carotid artery elasticity of drinker.
