Objective: To compare and evaluate percutaneous nephrolithotomy surgery and open surgery in the treatment of renal calculi in the clinical value. Methods: A retrospective analysis of clinical data---60 patients who underwent percutaneous nephrolithotomy and open surgery for patients of renal calculi . The patients of renal calculi who were diagnosed with the KUB + IVP, US, CT meet the enrollment and exclusion criteria. These 60 patients were randomly divided into two groups ,30 cases of Percutaneous nephrolithotomy and the other 30 cases of open surgery group. The two groups of patients have no significant differences in age, calculi size, number, distribution and in the degree of hydronephrosis before surgery. After an average of the two groups were compared operative time, mean operative blood loss, postoperative hospital stay, postoperative complications, stone clearance rates of such comparative analysis of the data were summarized. Results: Percutaneous nephrolithotomy group and the open surgery group in the operation time, blood loss, postoperative hospital stay comparison of the time were statistically significant (P<0.05), with a=0.05 as Test level can be considered percutaneous nephrolithotomy group, operation time, blood loss, postoperative hospital stay.Percutaneous nephrolithotomy and open stone surgery group time in the gravel,a gravel success, postoperative complications, postoperative improvement in hydronephro- sis 3 months difference in the two groups after 12 months showed no statistical stone recurrence Significance (P> 0.05).Conclusion: Percutaneous nephrolithotomy in treatment of renal calculi has Characteristics of convenient working channels, positioning accuracy, and a complete clearance of calculi in first stage operation. Besides, it has the advantages of shorter operation time, shorter postoperative hospital stay, less bleeding and quicker recovery. It also can be repeated several times. ultrasonic percutaneous nephrolithotomy adsorption device and holmium laser treatment can also take unique advantage of infection calculi, pyonephrosis, complicated upper ureteral calculi, ureteral stenosis combined with polyps under calculi.
