Research On Problem Of Medical Protection Of Migrant Workers

Migrant workers, who have made significant contribution to China's economic development, are of a special group resulted from urban-rural dual system, and play important roles in the modernization and urbanization of industries. However, the health insurance of migrant workers is not getting enough attention; as a result, without receiving equal treatment, their health conditions are not optimistic and have become urgent social problems of China's economy during the period of transition. The main reason for these is the long-standing household registration system, while other possible factors include insufficient legal protection, inadequate public financial investment, irrational health care system, and a weak sense of insurance..Therefore, to solve the problem of medical protection can not only benefit the construction of harmonious socialist society, but also solve agricultures problems, ease confilcts due to the wealth gap, achieve social justice to some extent and develop a sustainable urban-rural economic coordination. This paper is proposing several policy recommendations based on the status quo-in order to improve the health care system of migrant workers, it is necessary to formulte laws and regulations, converge and humanize the health insurance system, as well as strengthen government concern for financial investment.
