| As a special type of interpersonal communication, doctor-patient communication have important influences on the formation of the doctor-patient relationship, the formation,development and settlement of doctor-patient disputes. We conducted the study in Guangzhou ,and surveyed doctors,patients and the public by self-designed questionnaire named"a survey on patient communication". Conclusion:①Most doctors generally had too much pressure. The pressure comes mainly from the work of heavy tasks, great responsibility, and social denial of the medical industry, patients and their families do not fit in, low pay, also constituted sources of doctors'pressure.②Most patients showed fear, anxiety, sensitive, suspicious and other negative emotions during treatment. A considerable part of the patients'negative emotions had not been comforted by doctors, which doctors and patients had different evaluations. The patients'satisfaction to the services of doctors is low.③About setting treatment, doctors,patients and the public had different choices.④The evaluations between doctor and patients on treatment time, the depth of doctors'explanations, the confirmation of doctor had statistically differences. The two sides agreed that treatment time was not enough , doctors'explanations was not detailed enough, and in many cases, doctors did not made confirmation to their patients.⑤Both sides agreed that patients did not fully understand doctors'explanations, and too many professional vocabulary made the main reason.⑥Doctors and patients attributed the failure of treatment to different reasons. We put forward corresponding recommendations for the above results, from the policy level:①increase investment in health care institutions;②improve the basic health system;③further improve the medical insurance system;④establish medical responsibility sharing mechanism and insurance system;⑤establish and enforce medical staff regularly leave system. From the organizational level:①improve distribution system and incentive mechanisms for hospitals;②improve crisis management strategies of hospital;③establish a long-term mechanism to ease the pressure on doctors;④enhance education and training of communication skills for doctors;⑤provide a good environment for medical treatment;⑥To ensure adequate treatment time for patients . On the personal level, for the doctors:①in the treatment process, doctors should understand and respect the patients need, and take seriously the feedback of patients, to avoid self-serving attribution;②doctors should establish a correct outlook on life, values, and world, recognizing the limitations of medicine and their own capacity;③develop a healthy lifestyle, and establish a good social support system. For the patient:①have a correct view of the role of doctors and medical science;②improve the scientific and cultural quality, and have a rational view of diseases;③to understand the hard work and pressure of doctors. |
