Research Of TCM Compound On The Clinical Symptoms And Quality Of Life Of Stabilization Of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Objective:1.To observe the effect of TCM compound using the principle of xuan lung smooth wheezing, eliminate phlegm and remove stasis on clinical symptoms and quality of life in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) at stable stage.2.To observe the effect of TCM compound using the principle of xuan lung smooth wheezing, eliminate phlegm and remove stasis on the level of serum interleukin-6,TNF-a and PMN of Whole blood in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) at stable stage.Methods:1. 79 COPD patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,which controls 40 cases, the treatment group 39 cases. During the course of treatment, nine cases in treatment group and control group out there 10 cases were exit. Finally,60 cases were finished the experiment, two groups of each 30 cases.2. 60 patients in two groups were treated with sustain-release Theopylline and Mucosolvan,meanwhile the treated group was treated with TCM compound of"Kechuanding Oral Liquid".Two groups of treatment were for 1 month. 3.The clinical symptoms and quality of life of two groups of patients were evaluated by using clinical symptoms scale and quality of life score standard respectively in treatment before and after 14 days,1 month after treatment. 4. COPD patient,s level of serum IL-6, TNF-a and PMN of whole blood were evaluated.Results:1.There were effective both in the treatment group and control group. The total effective rate of treatment group (93.33%), the control group (83.33%), the treatment group was higher than that of control group (P<0.05).2. The score of quality of life displayed: psychological anxiety symptoms (F4) score of the treatment group was statistically significant (P<0.05) 14 days after treatment compared with before treatment.But no statistical difference was found in daily living skills (F1), social activities (F2), depression psychological state (F3). A 30-days treatment, F1 and F3 and F4 of the treatment group were statistically significant difference (P<0.01) compared with pre-treatment, while F2 was not statistically significant. Compared with pre-treatment level, F1 and F2, F3 and F4 of the control group there were no significant difference after treatment 14 days and 30 days (P>0.05). 3.On the level of serum IL- 6 and PMN of whole blood,the treatment group were significant difference (P<0.01);the control group were no significant difference (P>0.05) before and after the treatment. TNF-a of the two groups were significant difference before and after treatment(P<0.05),but no statistical difference was found in two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.The combination of traditional Chinese compounds targeted at 'freeing lung and relieving wheezing, eliminating phlegm and removing stasis' and western medicine could improve overall outcome in subjects with COPD at stable stage.2.Improvements was observed in multiple aspects of quality of life, including capability of daily and depression psychological state as well as state of anxiety due to treatment of the combination of traditional Chinese compounds targeted at 'freeing lung and relieving wheezing, eliminating phlegm and removing stasis' and western medicine.3.The combination of traditional Chinese compounds targeted at 'freeing lung and relieving wheezing, eliminating phlegm and removing stasis' and western medicine could significantly reduce the level of serum interleukin-6,TNF-a and polymorphous neutrophils of whole blood as well as alleviated airway inflammation in subjects with COPD at stable stage...
