ObjectivesThe Study is based on statistical analysis on physical examination of the staff of a 3A Grade hospital in Jiangsu,with the purpose to analyze the situation,the law of change and the level of danger of the main diseases which harm the staff,and the extent of harm,so as to explore the main risk factors affecting health status of the staff combining with questionnaires on healthy behaviors,as well as to put forward strategies for implementing health management of the hospitals’ staff,to provide theoretical basis to make health management strategies,to improve the health of the staff,to save the loss of human resources and to promote the hospital culture management.MethodsMethods of literature research,data analysis,questionnaire analysis and expert interviews are used in the study.Questionnaire including the fundamental information of the staff,physical examination obedience,work pressure,sleeping quality,eating habits,smoking,drinking,exercising and other aspects is designed based on Year 2018 physical examination reports of the hospital,which was used to investigate randomly the medical or health problems of 370 staff in this hospital.Finally,databases is established via Excel software and SPSS18.0 is used for statistical analysis.Results1.Results of physical examination: The rate of illness or abnormal physical signs of the staff was 88.07%.Among them,the Top 10 diseases are mainly non-infectious chronic diseases,including mammary gland disease(52.25%),cervicitis(45.63%),dyslipidemia(41.84%),obesity(24.56%),thyroid nodule(23.79%),liver dysfunction(8.76%),ma-ECG(16.24%),high serum uric acid(12.31%),hepatic cyst(11.61%),abnormal liver function(8.76%).Meanwhile,statistical differences also exist among gender,age,job position and department.2.Results of health behavior questionnaire: The participation rate of the staff in the hospital is93.94%,of which 38.18% missing some examinations,especially the doctor group with a high rate reaching 49.40%.In terms of work pressure,68.18% of the staff are in state of frequent overtime work.The rate of the staff feeling stressed in Age 30-39 group is relatively high,with 91.01% of doctors and 87.27% of nurses feeling fatigue.In terms of sleeping,the composition ratio of staff with insufficient sleep duration and poor sleep quality was 18.18% and 12.42%,respectively.In terms of diet,the taste of the staff are relatively healthy,but 82.40% of the staff have bad habits of eating outside.In terms of smoking and drinking,the overall control is better.The smoking population is mainly concentrated in male workers over 40 years old.Through analysis,there is a positive correlation between common chronic diseases and smoking or drinking.In terms of exercise,31.2% of the staff do not participate in exercise and 49.4% of the staff exercise 1-2 times a week which does not achieve exercise effect.Men are more enthusiastic than women in sports and the Age 50-59 group has higher exercise awareness than the other groups.In the segment,the staff in the management positions and surgical staff do more exercise than those in the other positions and departments.As to the favorite exercise programs,46% of the staff choose walking,followed by running.ConclusionThe physical health status of the staff in this hospital is generally poor and the main disease spectrum is mainly non-epidemic chronic diseases.Among the health behavior factors,there mainly exist high work pressure,lack of physical exercise,lack of self-care and bad habits of eating,sleeping and sedentary.In the implementation of staff’s health management,problems such as inadequate management system,inadequate service measures,lack of cultural atmosphere and lagging information system construction are obvious.Therefore,the hospital should strengthen the health management of staff.A valuable health system,a scientific and perfect institutional system,a clearly processing practicing system,a continuous improvement evaluation system and an open information platform must be constructed in the hospital.
