Clinical Study Of Xing Pi Yang Fei Powder On Infantile Asthma In Remission Period

Purpose:to observe the influence of xingpiyangfei powder on the clinical symptoms of children with asthma in the remission period.Methods:60 patients differentiated with TCM principles as suffering from children asthma with lung and spleen Qi deficiency in the remission period as selected and divided into two groups, with 30 in the treatment group and 30 in the control group; the treatment group is treated with xingpiyangfei powder by feeding the patients who is 5-7years with 2.0g and 7-14 years with 3.0g per serving and with three servings per day in warm water; the control group is treated with Huanerjin (produced by Qidong Gaitianli Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) by oral serving with lOg per bag and 2 bags per day for children in the age of 5-14; and the two groups are both observed for 8 weeks. The main observation indicators are:(1) the times of asthma recurrence in the treating process (2) the variations of the major symptoms before and after the treatment; (3) variation of lung function before and after the treatment.Results:(1) After treatment,in the treatment group,total effective rate was 96.67% in the control group,the total effective rate was 73.33%.The treatment group compared with the control group significantly (P<0.05).(2) After treatment, the treatment group of the average monthly number of asthmatic attacks compared with the control group significantly (P<0.05).And the mild asthmatic attack was significantly compared with control group(P<0.05).But the midrange asthmatic had no statistical significance in two groups (P>0.05).(3) Two groups of FEV,PEF had been improved before and after treatment.In each group were statistically significant differences (P<0.05).(4) before and after treatment, the cough, spontaneous, mental deterioration, anepithymia, loose stools and other symptoms were improved and the difference was significantly (P<0.05). before and after treatment, the cough, spontaneous, anepithymia, loose stools, the treatment group was compared with the control group significantly (P<0.05).But the anepithymia had no statistical significance in two groups after the treatment (P>0.05). Conclusions:It is proved that Xingpiyangfei powder has notable treatment effect in preventing children asthma in remission period.
