Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Changyuning Granules in treating active UC (endoretention of damp heat).Methods:67 cases of patients with UC from December 2008 to December 2010 were selected and divided into two groups,35 for the treatment group and 32 for the control group, the treatment group was treated with Changyuning Granules and the control group was treated with Mesalamine for 8 weeks.The therapeutic effect, including the curative effect of TCM syndrome, therapeutic effect of mucous membrane under microscope, and the synthetic curative effect were observed. Moreover, all of above were compared between treatment and control group.Result:1.After the treatment, the overall efficiency of the treatment group was 94.28%,and that of the control group was 78.12%, there was significantly difference between the two groups on the synthetic curative effect (P< 0.05).2.After treatment, there was no significantly difference between the two groups on the curative effect of mucosa (P>0.05), it showd that colonoscopy efficacy of the treatment group were better than the control group.3. The accumulate points of the symptoms of 2 groups after treatment were both significantly lower than that of before treatment(P< 0.05); The improvement in symptom score of treatment group were better than the control group (P< 0.05).4.During the course of the treatment, there was no adverse reaction occur in the treatment group, but in the control group, one case suffered stomachache, and another with headache, and both of them made quick recovery, so, there wasn't any affect with the treatment.Conclusion:1.Changyuning Granules had certain advantages in the clinical symptom improvement. 2.Changyuning Granules had certain advantages in mucosal repair3.Changyuning Granules had certain advantages in comprehensive effect, and its curative effect was better than Mesalamine.4.Changyuning Granules was a effective medicine for the UC (endoretention of damp heat).There was almost no adverse reaction during the course of taking Changyuning Granules. |
