Purpose:The analysis of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of polycystic ovarian infertility for the efficacy and safety with a review aims to make an objective, credible assessment of the clinical treatment for patients and doctors, and to provide the best evidence available at present to help clinical decision-making, and to provide the basis for further study and foundation.Method:Based on evidence-based medicine (EBM), a comprehensive search of clinical study at home and abroad about infertility treatment of women with polycystic ovary syndrome is made, and we choose the articles of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of randomized controlled trials, evaluate the methodological quality of the articles(including random, blind, distribution and hidden lost), and finally use Revman4.2 software for statistical analysis and descriptive analysis. Results:The total elected 10 randomized controlled trials includes 896 cases of patients. The results show that, the pregnancy rates(P<0.00001) of the group of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment are conspicuous precede to western medicine treatment; ovulation rates(P=0.22) between the two groups are of no statistical difference, indicating that acupuncture and moxibustion treatments can not encourage ovulating more effectively than the western medicine group. Conclusion:acupuncture and moxibustion treatment may be effective in treating infertility caused by polycystic ovarian syndrome. The number of the articles included in the study is little and the quality of the articles is low, so the reliability of the analysis is weak, yet more high-quality researches are necessary to increase the strength of proof.
