| Purpose:In order to summarize the TCM syndromes and Chinese constitution classification in outpatient and inpatient with upper gastrointestinal polyps under the guidance of TCM theory,we do the forward-looking research and review lot's of cases to analyze the clinical manifestations of syndromes, and summed up the standards of upper gastrointestinal polyps's syndrome differentiation type.Besides we also do research on the relationship among the disease type, age and Chinese constitution classification. We hope that it can provide some guidance to the diagnosis and treatment of upper gastrointestinal polyps using Chinese medicine. Methods:First of all,we do retrospective analysis of general information of the 378 patients with upper gastrointestinal polyps in Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Jiangsu Province during the period 2010.10-2011.03.Then we select 130 cases which clinical symptoms and tongue pulse is complete, then use SPSS 17.0 to analyse the data stored in Microsoft Excel. So that we can figure out the TCM syndrome differentiation, Chinese constitution classification and the relationship between them, besides,we also can figure out the relationship among syndrome and age, pathologic types, and clinical manifestion. Results:In 130 patients with upper gastrointestinal polyps,we found that 36 ones of spleen and stomach deficiency,34 ones of liver-stonach disharmony,19 ones of heat retention spleen,18 cases of liver-stomach stagnant heat,9 cases of spleen deficiency with phlegm,8 cases of qi stagnation and phlegm and both of qi stagnation and cold retention spleen are 3 cases. By chi-square test, P<0.05, statistically significant. Frequency of distribution of the syndrome as follows:spleen-stomach deficiency>liver-stonach disharmony>heat retention spleen>liver and stomach stagnant heat>spleen deficiency with phlegm>qi stagnation and phlegm resistance>qi stagnation and blood resistance>cold retention spleen. There is relationship between TCM syndrome and age.(P<0.05). The occurrence of this disease also contact with Chinese constitution classification. The study found that the number of the cases of quality of qi deficiency and qi stagnation are the majority in the disease, and a special intrinsic quality is the least, the frequency:of Chinese constitution classification in this disease is qi stagnation> qi deficiency>damp-heat>yang deficiency>phlegm-dampness>yin deficiency>blood stasis >special intrinsic quality. There is also some degree of relationship between syndromes and Chinese constitution classification, such as spleen and stomach deficiency is closely related to qi deficiency and yang deficiency. Conclusion:Through research and analysis, we found that the upper gastrointestinal polyps syndromes can be divided into spleen-stomach deficiency, liver-stonach disharmony, liver and stomach stagnant heat, heat retention spleen, spleen deficiency with phlegm, qi stagnation and phlegm resistance, qi stagnation and blood resistance, cold retention spleen 8 types,in which spleen-stomach deficiency and liver-stonach disharmony as the basic syndromes, and under the action of the pathological factors aswet, phlegm, blood stasis, the after 6 syndromes appeared. Above syndrome was correlated with age. Lliver-stomach stagnant heat and heat retention spleen are the most common syndromes in the youth, liver-stonach disharmony is the most common syndromes in the middle-aged, spleen-stomach deficiency is more common in the elderly group. The occurrence of this disease also contact with Chinese constitution classification,in which the qi stagnation and qi deficiency are the most important factors.Further study of the relationship between syndromes and constitution classification shows that part of the syndromes are also associated with the constitution classification. For example, spleen-stomach deficiency is closely related to qi deficiency and yang deficiency, liver-stonach disharmony is closely related to qi stagnation, heat retention spleen is contact with damp-heat. |
