The Clinical Curative Effect Observations Of Dingxuanfang On Vertigo Patients With Vertebral Basilar Insufficiency And Phlegm And Blood Stasis Type

Objective To study the clinical effect of Dingxuanfang on phlegm and blood stasis syndrome type of vertigo.Methods 55 patients with phlegm and blood stasis syndrome type of vertigo were randomized divided into two groups. The control group includes 27 patients, the treatment group includes 28 patients. All patients of two groups accepted endbrain peptide (ivgtt) as basic therapy. The patients in the treatment group accepted Chinese herbs treatment of Dingxuanfang for 14 days, and the patients in the control group accepted Nimotop treatment for 14 days. Clinical symtoms (vertigo, phlegm and blood stasis) and transcranial Doppler ultrasound(TCD) changes were observed before and after treatment.Results The statistical results showed that Dingxuanfang obviously improved symtoms of vertigo, nausea and vomiting, balance disturbances, tinnitus, fall, tongue quality coating on the tongue, pulses symptoms, especially for coating on the tongue (P<0.05). Effect of treatment group was better than that of control group. Moreover, the Chinese prescription can improve TCD systolic velocity abnormalities.Conclusion:1. There is important pathogenesis connection between phlegm and blood stasis and vertigo, and there is correlation between phlegm and blood stasis syndrome type and curative effect;2.Dingxuanfang can significantly improves symtoms of vertigo and phlegm and blood stasis;3.Dingxuanfang can improve vertebra basilar arterial blood anomaly parameters of TCD.
