Objective:To investigate the concentration of nerve ending and Neuritin in the synoviums of both knee osteoarthritis and purely traumatic knee joints, and their relationships associated with the pain.Methods:The synoviums were collected apartly from the patients of both knee osteoarthritis and purely traumatic knee joints. And the latter was choosed as the control. Before of the operations, the scale divisions for the OA's patients were carried out by the VAS pain score, the knee joint function score and the radiology pathogenetic condition grades firstly. The specimens for both two groups were taken intraoperatively to observe the morphology by HE staining, to observe the concentration of the free nerve ending in both the two groups by the staining of the Gless for the nerve fiber, and to detect the expressions of Neuritin in the synovium of both knee osteoarthritis and purely traumatic knee joints for the qualitation and the semiquantitative analysis using immunohistochemical staining. Then to compare the differences of the free nerve ending concentration and Neuritin expression between the experimental group and the control group, and,according to the VAS pain score,the knee joint function score and the radiology pathogenetic condition grades, to analysis the variability for the expressing level of the Neuritin between the groups.Results:1. The distributions of the free nerve ending were observed all in the synoviums of both two groups, and that in the experimental group was obviously concentrated.2. There were the expressions of Neuritin all in the synoviums of both two groups, and the expression of osteoarthritis group was higher, the differences between the experimental group and the control group were statistics significance (P<0.05).3. The expression of Neuritin:by the VAS pain score, the severe group was higher than the mild group, there was statistics significance between the two group (P<0.05); by the knee joint function score, so was that (P<0.05); by the radiology pathogenetic condition grades, it was not statistically significant between those (P>0.05).Conclusions:1. The free nerve endings was distributed in the normal and osteoarthritis of the knee joint synovium, the distributions of the free nerve ending concentrated in the synovium of osteoarthritis,it may be the cause of the pain.2. Neuritin was expressed in the normal and osteoarthritis of the knee joint synovium,the expression of osteoarthritis group was higher, suggesting that Neuritin may be to promote the growth of nervous process, it may be have the indirect effect concerned with the pain of OA..3. The expression of Neuritin with the heighten of the VAS pain score and the knee joint function score enhanced, to submit positively correlate, The expression of Neuritin had no correlated with the radiology pathogenetic condition grades. |
